Impact of Cloud Computing in Banking Industry of Australia: 1241119

1. WHAT IS YOUR RESEARCH QUESTION?

  • Following are research questions developed for this study:
  • What issues are faced by banks in absence of cloud computing?
  • How cloud computing have helped banks in minimizing these issues?
  • What strategies can be applied for enhancing implementation of cloud computing in banks?

2. WHY DO YOU THINK THIS QUESTION IS IMPORTANT?

Cloud computing has been an emerging tool in every aspect of personal and business lives. Several organizations have been utilizing cloud services for enhancing their business in the market. Banking sector have been utilizing cloud computing for maintaining their storage and security of data in the server (Asadi et al. [1]. Banking sector has been revolutionized with the help of cloud computing.  Several services have been done online with the help of cloud computing. Banks in Australia has been facing errors in managing data of customers and employees in the market.  Therefore, Cloud computing has been helping in several ways to maintain their data and services in the bank. Cloud has been a category of computing that helps in allowing multiple computers for connecting to a server and run services and applications. It has been a modern advanced type of distributed computing. The main benefit of cloud computing has been its scalability. This refers to that an association utilizing external cloud might add and remove resources from their systems as per their needs. It has been expected to be the fastest growing technologies in recent years.

3. WHAT DOES PREVIOUS RESEARCH TELL YOU ABOUT YOUR QUESTION?

As commented by Asadi et al.[1], the traditional model of bank utilizes discrete servers located at different places. As commented by [3], the volume of data and amount of processing time used to be varied based on the locations.  This have been creating issues with providing better services to cautioners in the market.

Data privacy

As commented by Elzamly and Hussin [4], data privacy has been an issue related to the privacy of personal and financial data of customers the bank. Bank need to keep its data safe and private from getting breached. There have been several cases of data breach from online servers. Consequences of malicious activity in the data might loss trust of customers from the bank. This represents the first research question.

A mentioned by Owusu-Tucker and Stacey [2], cloud computing in banking industry has been helpful in storing data and providing services to customers. Several services including mobile banking and online banking can be possible with the help of cloud commuting. Customers are not required to visit to bank physically for getting any kind of services. Customers can avail banking services from their home only. The new model of banks have been utilizing cloud computing models. These models are interconnected with each other and help min computing multiple resources at a time. Therefore, processing time get decreased and fast services are available for the customers. Therefore, satisfaction level of customers get enhanced with the help of cloud computing.  Banks have been able to maintain their data properly over the cloud servers and maintaining security of data. This represents information about second research question.

As commented by Al-Lawati and Al-Badi [7], Banks are expected to enter into cloud computing with single cloud modelClients can benefit banking administrations from their home as it were. The conventional model of bank uses discrete servers situated at better places. The volume of information and measure of preparing tot used to be shifted dependent on the areas. This have been making issues with offering better types of assistance to cautioners in the market.

Reduce Cost: There has been rise in cost of hardware and software used in banks. Therefore, investment cost of banks get higher for banks. Cloud computing has been helping in minimizing cost of hardware and software by providing these services as a rent. Banks need to provide charges only for maintenance of hardware resources which reduces the cost.

Business process improvement

Cloud computing and storage resources have been helping in allocating resources to users when it is required for preventing waste of resources. The technology workload between the servers have been resulting in waste (Padmaja and Seshadri [3].

This represent the third research question.

4. WHAT DATA WILL YOU NEED TO ANSWER THE QUESTION?

Several journals and articles related to the cloud computing in banking industry will be referenced in this study. This will help in analysing the importance of cloud computing in the banking industry. The use of cloud computing has bene providing various roles in banking sector. Data will be collected from secondary sources including online journals, articles and academic sources [6]. Secondary data sources help in collecting a lot of previous knowledge and based on that analysis can be done related to the importance of cloud computing in banking sector. The changes in traditional model used in banking industry and implementation of cloud computing in banking industry will be analysed properly. Online databases including Google Scholar, will be used for searching and collecting secondary data for the research.

5. HOW ARE YOU GOING TO ANALYSE THIS DATA?

Qualitative and thematic data analysis method will be done in order to analyses secondary data, there will be 15 online journals related to the role of cloud computing in banking industry. There will be three themes created based on the research questions. This will help in analysing the research questions developed initially. For answer RQ1, data related to the issues in the banks before cloud computing will be analysed.  The current state of art related to the role of cloud computing will be analysed. For answering RQ2, data related to the implementation of cloud computing will be analysed [7].  Themes will be created based on the RQ2 and thematic analysis will be done based on the difference in situation of before adopting cloud computing in banks and after adopting it. There have been several changes identified after adoption of cloud computing in banks. These changes will be analysed that will help in answering RQ2. For answering RQ3, several recommendations will be provided based on better implementation of cloud computing in the banking industry of Australia. This research will follow all ethical consideration under the academic research guidelines. Data and information in the research will be kept safe and secured under Data Protection Act 1998 [8]. All personal data of participants will not be used in the research. No data will be tempered during data analysis procedure.

The aim of the paper is to conduct a discussion on the character dilemma in identifying their identity. The primary concern of the paper is with the Louise Bernice Halfe’s “Nohkum, Medicine Bear”. The opening stanza of the poem includes the describing the image of an old grandmother who has been described in the form of a bear. The image of the bear and the woman has compiled together. However, there has been a hesitance on the part of the poet to merge the image together. The formation of the character and the merging of the image of the human and an animal had been a source of deliberation for the author in itself.

There has been a depiction of the abode of the house of the old women in the form of the den of the bear. The intertwining nature of the attributes of the old women and the bear have been the initial point of the character dilemma where the hint is towards the fact if the human nature is closely linked to the animalistic attribute (Spitler).

The next set of process that follows the description where the old women can be seen to be using different methods and ingredients in order to make medicine. She has been draped in natural essence in the den where she resides. However, line number 28 onwards we can see that old women or the bear has been described as the healer of the spirits. The dilemma that persists in the section of the character is in the fact whether there is the possibility of person with the animalistic nature to extended their healing to the ones in distressed. There has been a reversal of the initial dilemma.

The initial dilemma with the consideration whether the human nature can have animalistic attribute, the next set of dilemma has reversed the doubt to consider whether a person with the attribute of an animal can extend the role of the healer. The usage of the word has been crucially done in the case. The word laboring has been attached with the bear to strike the idea whether animals also toil a lot.

From the line, 9-15 there has been a consideration of the usage of the lot of elements. However, it needs to considered that it requires a presence of mind. The complex nature of the human and the animal has been juxtapose in order to give rise to the complexities in the dealing with the attributes (Spitler).

However, on the other side of the usage of the character there has been depicted in order to give an idea about the obstacles and the flaws that lie in the process. The flaws have been rooted in the fact that the characters have been juxtaposed in the dealing of the medicine. The obstacle on the part of the old women have been with the fact that her age had been an obstacle in the way of executing the deed that the person was trying to indulge herself. Another primary obstacle that had been on the way of the execution of the character it has been noted that the dealing of the character has been effective.

The juxtaposition has been done between the traditionally antithetical elements. Between the human and the animal nature, however, it has been seen in the course of the discussion of the poem, that both the character has been used by the poet in order to exhibit that the flaws in the character can be mitigated by another (Neuhaus).

The poem is marked by a constant shift in the movement of the character and the position of the character within the house, which is also referred to as the den. Within the den like structure, though the usage of the different ingredients the character is indulged in a series of activities. The contrast and the opposition in the dealing of the elements have been portrayed in stark opposition in the course of the discussion to enhance the idea of the opposition that is inherent in the human character. Dilemma can be used to receive an insight in the live of the character from the struggle in the disposition. The dilemma acts as a point of tension for the narrative by rendering it in its complexities. The confusion is created by bringing about conflicting ideas.

The poem has exhibited similar attributes in its dealing of the characters. The conflicting and the complex attributes of the character has been discussed. The complexity has been created in the movement of the character as well as in the attributes as exhibited by them in the course of their dealing. The regular contrast between the attributes of the character and the attribute of the bear has been struck against the character of the women (Neuhaus).

The poem can be considered as a criticism of the animalistic attitude that is prevalent in the character of the human. The criticism is also of the superiority that is posed in the character of the human. As such, by bringing in the dilemma and the conflict in the portrayal of the character, the elements from both the character has been superimposed and juxtaposed in order to invoke the criticism. In their activities being imposed over one another, in order to evoke the flaw in one and in order to evoke the gap in another. As such, the apparent contrast has been criticized to be the elements that complement the flaw in another.

The poem can be concluded on the note that the dilemma in the character can be utilized in order to develop a greater insight in the general character of the human. It has also been used in order to criticize the supremacy that has been posed in the character of the humans and have been posed in opposition with the character of the animals.
