Food Ethnography: 1236988

Restaurants evokes unique social world that culminates to the aspect of social cohesion in society.  Hotels, café, and other companies providing food-related services have transformed the world to higher levels. The analogy is that a significant number of social behaviors have been induced by the restaurants we have. A large number of people do visit and interacts in different restaurants in various countries in the world. Through their visits, they share different cultures. Besides, internal visits or domestic tourism creates new groups with a variety of behaviors. In this case, I have visited Mexico Lindo Restaurant, and I have a lot to share. What I observed from the restaurant tries to elaborate on how restaurants have evoked the social world.

Mexico Lindo is one of the most prominent restaurants in Ajax. The restaurant is situated at 200 Hardwood Avenue in Ajax (Vallejo, 2015). It has been offering a variety of foods to its people for an extended period. Most of the people do argue that the restaurant has brought entire Mexico to Ajax. The reason behind this is that the restaurant provides traditional dishes that resemble the Mexican type. The restaurant is opened at 11 am, and it is closed at 10 pm every time. I have visited the website for the restaurant I have positive reviews from those clients who have been served for a couple of years. Most of the reviews have been supporting the affordable prices provided by the restaurant. A significant number of clients argue that the restaurant offers prices that are friendly as compared to other restaurants in Ajax. I, therefore, checked on the food menu, and I can testify what these client’s compliments about it. The idea is that the restaurant offers prices at every price.

On the other hand, the restaurant has a variety of Mexican diets. Multiple people in Ajax do prefer to take the dishes offered by this restaurant (Robles 2012).  I have observed several dishes provided by the restaurant to its clients. The MENU included sweet dishes that are appropriately prepared by the experts. The most loved dishes in the MENU are the appetizers. There are a couple of the appetizers such as the shrimp costar. The appetizer is provided with onions and peppers in corn that is surrounded by cheese costar. Besides, it has appetizers such as the nachos extreme that is Nacho corn chips that are delicious. The nachos extreme is provided with black beans, sour cream, and the melted cheese all the time before one is offered with a meal. Besides, there is a salad and quesadilla section that comprises dishes such as veggie taco salad and gringa quesadilla, respectively. The veggie taco salad contains the mushrooms and spinaches while he gringa quesadilla contains two tortillas. In the tortillas, we have other dishes filled with it, such as the pastor meat, chunks, and cilantro. To add a few, there are other foodstuffs such as drinks and the Mexico Lindo Epicainides such as the Ribeye and Carne Asada. The dishes are a delicious and large number of people around the restaurant. Visitors reveal that they love the Mexican food provided by the restaurant, and that is why most of the people love coming to this restaurant all the time (De Mente, 2011). 

Mexico Lindo has special features that makes it thrive all the time. In my life, I have visited several restaurants, and I have observed a unique character from the restaurant. Following the idea of the social world view, I have also noticed a variety of features from other restaurants, but Mexico Lindo is special. The idea is that the restaurant reveals unique characteristics such as table sharing. The behavior of sharing is highly exposed within the restaurant. During my first visits to the restaurant, I observed a significant number of people sharing meals. From my point of view, I tend to argue that the spirit of sharing portrayed by the restaurant supports social cohesion capabilities. Not all restaurants have been allowing the idea of table sharing. A significant number of restaurants in the world do deter the spirit of table sharing for various reasons. For the case of Mexico Lindo, I think table sharing plays a pivotal role in them, thus building a good reputation and unique traits different from multiple restaurants in Ajax.

Social interaction is frequent in the restaurant and also in areas around it. I have tried to interact with clients and people. The primary concern was to identify how they respond to the idea of sharing. Most of the people seem to love socializing and sharing (Siniscalchi, & Counihan, 2014). People do share not only dishes but also aspects such as chatting and laughing when giving stories. As I was in the restaurant, I observed how people were communicating with each other in different tables. The guests seemed to love the social life around. I noticed some people like coming to the restaurant to share ideas with others holding both business and official meetings. The aim of starting the restaurant was to unite the groups around who have various ethnic stances. Through this mission and vision, most of the people have fully complied with the idea of table sharing, thus enhancing unity and social cohesion. Visitors in this restaurant have been seen as favorable to the idea of table sharing. I tried to talk to Mexican guests who were on the opposite table. I tried to consult them on how the Ground Beef Enchiladas tested. One of them offered a piece, and it was appetizing. It was my first time to taste the dish and, through this behavior, learned a lot. Through this experience, I realized that the issue of table sharing was not only behavior but also a culture within the restaurant. The guest also ordered me a share, and I was like exactly table sharing is a fundamental aspect of helping the restaurant to thrive in the marketplace.

The idea of table sharing in the restaurant has helped in transforming society into a new culture. For sure, I have seen people in Ajax appreciating the importance of table sharing. I think up to now; one can say that table sharing in the restaurant is a new way of socializing. It is quite a good idea to allow society to appreciate the importance of togetherness all the time (Freedman 2016). I have seen people in the hotel exchanging even phone numbers and emails for personal communication. Through this analogy, it has come to my senses that table sharing in the restaurant has created a new society different from the traditional way of doing social activities. I think I am correct by saying that this restaurant is one of the best places I have visited in my life. The restaurant has enlightened me to appreciate other human beings and be generous enough to others. Through this lesson, I think those clients who have visited it have borrowed something educative, and this has to reflect in their real-life behaviors. Interaction leads to social development whereby individuals are in a position to share ideas that may be helpful to individuals and also to the society at large. Mexico Lindo has perpetuated a channel for transforming the world mainly by fueling the spirit of sharing that lacks in several societies in the world.

On matters related to the idea of the social world, Mexico Lindo restaurant is a whole society. Indeed, the restaurant is now a whole community, and the presence of sharing traits observed has affirmed this. We have millions of visitors from various nations who are coming to the restaurant. Through this process of tourism, we can argue that socialization has been exhibited. Therefore, many people are sharing various ideas and social norms when they are at the tables. From my point of view, it is suitable for people to share tables in restaurants regardless of ethnic differences. The motto of table sharing in Mexico Lindo is a functional element that will help social groups to fight ethnic clashes (Cherry et al 2011). I was impressed with how I be-friended a large number of people in the restaurant during my visit. I think aspects such as welcoming have now made the restaurant to shine in the globe. It is a lesson for all food-related enterprises to copy what is necessary. Most of these restaurants we have should incorporate the aspect of social integration by looking at the best methods. They have to consider how to use crucial strategies such as sharing, affordable prices, and positive reviews to construct a productive social world.

To sum up, Mexico Lindo restaurant is the foundation of social cohesion in Ajax. There are special activities and feature we can borrow from the restaurant. The social world encompasses those particular practices that campaign for commonness in society. The excellent reputation possessed by the restaurant has helped in attracting a large number of clients. On the other hand, increased aspect of table sharing has created a new environment for solving social variations. In most cases sharing in the restaurant plays an essential role. People have been sharing a lot when taking their meals on the table despite their ethnic differences. The idea is that spirit of being generous in our restaurant’s champions for the eradication of social barriers that can hinder development.
