  3. The video was about bringing in the positive cultural change in the organization where the productivity and growth of the organization could be achieved.  The video was all about changing the employees behaviour that ranges from intending to change the behaviour and finally taking an action to do it. The video was focused on meeting the gap that comes in between of developing the good behaviours in an individual.
  4. The video was very interesting to watch as the author gave real life example of bringing in the changes in one’s behaviour that included the habit of quitting smoking, and intentions of many people to lose weight. The author tried making the talk of organization change interesting through quoting the examples of failures of losing weight as it becomes very tough for many people to bring about the changes in right manner. Further, only 10 percentage of the population who intends to lose the weight are able to lose it successfully in best ways.

During the talk, I have learned various important points that gave me the great insight about the change management at organization.  I have learned that the culture is the mix of rituals and habits that set the tone in the organization. If the organization has to positively change the culture then it has to focus on changing about the particular behaviour or rituals so that best objectives could be achieved. Further it taught me about not trusting the employee’s mouth regarding changes as what they desire is not equivalent to their competence of bringing about the changes.

The new information that I got in the talk was  changing culture requires changing the rituals that are followed in the organization by not getting employees excessively involved but at the same time making the changes among people very normal . The information helped me in understanding the complex nature of the humans and the techniques that are required to bring about the right type of changes.  The content that was used in the video was highly supportive of the general management principals where it had taken in account the importance of inviting the employees in change management process and developing the friendly environment in facilitating the change.
