Counsellors Role: 1031135

What is the counsellors’ primary role?

The primary role of the counsellors is to solve the problems that the person’s consulting them for. They must shoe respect the values, culture, choice and personal resources. The counsellors provide people with time and space and talk about the problems to explore the problematic feelings in dependable and confidential environment so that the reliability of the persons cab be built on counsellors and the solution is found out within a limited period of time (Bodie et al. 2015).

What are the benefits of a counsellor talking less and acting as a guide towards solutions?

The active listening skill gives the counsellor proper scope to know the incident taken place with the client and get to know the points of the view which is leading the client to behave in such way. This leads the client to realise the counsellor is putting focus on his details thus feel empowered to depend upon the counsellor’s suggestions. Listing more and talking less allow the counsellor to arrange the problem in such a way that enables him to find the solution more easily and quickly (Jones, Bodie and Hughes 2016). Talking with the client only to get needed information is necessity to make the conversation process less clumsy.
