Schein team work

As per Edgar schein an organisation is largely depend on the performance of a number of people and not on individuals. According to him teams are made for both functional and psychological reasons because without a team it is not possible for an organisation to carry on its functional activities as it will not be possible for an individual to deliver all the activities of an organisation and it is the combined effort of the team all the operational activities of an organisation can be run smoothly. Teams are created to distribute the responsibility to all the members equally so that one individual does not get overburdened for excessive responsibility. If an individual is given all the responsibilities he or she may not be able to give their best result and it will reduce the overall productivity of an organisation (Turlais and Dubkevics 2017).

The psychological reason for which a team is formed is to bring a competitive working environment which will encourage each and every individual member of the team to deliver their best effort and that will enhance the overall productivity of the entity. It is human psychology that they provide their best effort when a healthy competitive environment exist and it also motivate the individual to bring out the best output which will meet the objective of the organisation. The psychological factor plays an important role to motivate all the members within the team. Another psychological factor for which team is created is to create an effective communication system within the team where in all the members will be able to interact with each other which will help in solving many problems that create an obstruction in the successful running of the operational activities of the organisation. The psychological factor enables a group of individuals with different cultural and social backgrounds to work for achieving a common objective (Shymko 2018).
