About Human Rights

Human Rights mainly means the right the normal individuals and people are having in a civilized kind of society. In other words, these are the normal rules and regulations within which a person should be residing and hear she shouldbe given this mainly rights in ademocratic, monarch or capitalistic kind of society. As per David(2000), this is the basic medium by which people need to work andtheir are a lot of factors which are being governed by such rules and regulations. A individual basically a small kid wants to read and write andthat is his basic right that he should have.If heis being prohibited by doing such thing, then that is against the human law and that needs to be checked up so that the human rights of the child is being placed in the right hands. People do not know their rights and responsibilities as the political people tend to mould these in their own interests. Thus the basic law of human rights is to ensure that all the people of the country are aware of their rights and responsibilities ad they adhere to them.

Ideas and Theories on Human Rights

In order to get in depth as to from where these human rights got into origin, we have to date ourselves back to old times when their were kings that were ruling us. Todd(2006) says that they used to set up rules and regulations asto how to live in a civilizedkind of society and what all are the basic amenities under which one has to function so that there is growth and prosperity within them and the country and the state also develops in the due courseof time. These rules and regulations were being developed because of possible limitations that was being observedby the elder people at that point of time. People were unemployed and thus they were in no position to earn the bread and butter.

Apart from it they were also not literate because few people of the society wanted to rule these peopleof their self-vested interest andthis was the main area of concern for the maximumof people. It was then that some people devised human rights so that people in the country can know what are their rights andhow can they exercise these rights in thebest possible way. People needed to be made aware of their rights so that they are able to understand them and work according to them in the country. Human rights thus is a very complex ting in itself aspeople haveto understand their rights andduties.  They have to understand how people are ruling them and they also haveto understand the power of voting. Education in itself is the best possible asset and they have to get educated in this subject so that they are able to learn it in a good way andthey also are able to exercise it in the society.

As every subject has a theory in itself so thus there are same theories in human rights as  well. These are mainly related to people and how does one react to another in aparticular circumstance. Stephen(1993) says that human rights are mainly involved with peopleand their behavior to external situations under certain set of conditions. Hence, human rights mainly details with individuals andtheir way of action towards certain people in acivilized society.

Key Practices and actions for Application and Implementation

Human rights can only be applied in certain set ofplaces where people are willing to listen and cat accordingly as of now. But in order to have  awide spread knowledge on it we haveto understand it and try to apply it in all areas wherever there is necessity. The recent human rights violation that we saw inEgypt where more than 900 people who were protesting the inhuman behavior of the government  were subjected to torture is a clean example of how things are andwhat all thing has to be done so that there is great amount of practice in the current world.

I would mainly like the media to take up this cue andthey should be the ones who should be educating the people about their human rights andhow should the things be done in this current world. They have to bring out the loopholes in the current society andthey should mainly make sure that there is law andorder that is kept up in place. therecent attacks was also being broadcasted in national TV andthen only was this kind of disparity being known by a lot of people across the world. This kindof inhuman torturing is mainly because people do not stand up and discuss their problems out in open.

Apart from it, Philip(1996) says that their should also be internal mechanisms in government who should bechecking this things. They should make someinstitutions which are mainly looking into these kinds of areas. This would mainly bring more strictness andtheir would be more discipline in the people. They would be thinking twice before committing any sort of human rights violation. Hence, it is important that people understand the basic structure of human rights andthey are able to adhere toit. If they are not able to adhere to it, then there is strong possibility that people would exploit other people who do not know the rights.Education in this area is  abasic necessity andeveryone should be having it.

Human Rights for Disabled

Human rights for disabled would mainly include their basic necessities like food, shelter and clothing. They should not be deprivedof any such thing and if anyone is trying to do something wrong with them we should make sure that such things are not done. God has not been kind to them, but we should make sure that such things are being given to them so that they are happy and if they are happy then automatically we would also be in a good shape.

Our Recommendations and Work

I would mainly like to planmy activities and events in such a way that there is wide spread awareness about these things. The first and formost thing that I would do is to prepare blogs and writings in internet. In the current times, a lot of people are connected to Internet and thus it is essential that we are able to control these people through this mode. Then only would our planning and vents would be  asuccess in the market. My plan is to make sure that all individualsbe it young or old understand the need andimportance of human rights. They would be having some or the other problem in their life because of human rights.

Thus, the main area that I haveto focus would be to bring about that area and make these people understand what all thingsthey are missing. A lot of people would be also not be aware of such things. Thus, we haveto make sure that such things are being made and they also understand the importance of policies and principles. For example, a person would not be knowing that if he or she is unemployed he is entitled for a unemployment benefit. These kind of thing should be made aware of our people so that they are able to get the things done in the best way possible.

Peopleshould also make efforts to bridge the gaps that are their. If they are not able to bridge the gaps then,it would not be possible for them to make efforts and grow up the ladder. Human rightsis all about understanding people andtheir significance in the current world. Theyhave toensure that such kind of things are being followed up well andtheir is great amount of understanding in these areasof life.

Barriers to Human Rights

The main barrier to human rights being practiced in the society is the ability to change the mindset of the people. The persons who are practicing it and are not following it are also suffering and vice versa the persons who are suffering are also in no position to practice it. Thus the problem is with both the ends. People are very difficult to be changed andthis is the typical problem  that people are facing now. Themain barrier to this sort is the change management. People think that if they follow human rights then they would go in wrong track.

In some countries like Asian countries, people have taken this human rights violation as their own religion. Women are not allowed to study and they are not allowed to get educated which is the basic human rights violation. But instead of changing it, people feel that this type of thing would change their culture and traditions. Thus the greatest barrier is to change the mindset and behavior of peopleas it is against their religious sentiments and values. People think that they should not do this and this is making the things more worse for human rights violation. Religion is coming in the way of people and human rights andto remove this would be very difficult task.

How toovercome the Barriers

In order to overcome this barrier we have to educate the people with the acts of human rights. We have to make them aware as to what is happening in the rest of world and how the people of the world arebehaving. They have to be made aware of the consequences of not adhering to humanrights violation.David(2000) says that this way only would the people understand the importance of human rights andthey would be practicing it in the bets of the ways. Human rights are mainly the basic requirements as to how to survive and this should be known by all.

People haveto understand that doing cruel acts would be a sin and if they do it for long, then they would also get the same from others. Hence, people should stop doing these kinds of things andthey should ensure that peaceis prevailed in the country. Every humanshouldbetreated equally and fairly and their should be good watch on human rightsby the government also so that good and effective practices of human rights are being followed up in the wholeof the world.
