In this case the selected journal article is the “Technology acceptance model (TAM) and social media usage: an empirical study on Facebook.” According to the authors Rauniar et al., as in the current generation the usage of social media websites such as Facebook, Twitters, LinkedIn are increasing day by day it is very much important to understand the attitude and the behaviours of the users regarding it for deployment of new technologies. This data regarding the users can be gathered using the technology acceptance model. Here this paper aims to discuss the issues regarding the technology acceptance model while studying social media usage behaviour. In this case the technology acceptance model studied behaviour of individual adoption of the most popular social networking site, Facebook. Primary data has been used for this research including 398 active Facebook users and the data has been collected through web-based questionnaire survey. From the result of this research it has been assessed that the used Technology acceptance model supports all type of hypothesis regarding the behaviour of social media usage. The technology acceptance model used in the study validated the attitude intent behaviour relationship regarding the social media website such as Twitter and Facebook. Also from the technology acceptance model it has been understood that there are other variables also which must be investigated properly for improving the prediction of social media acceptance and the usage behaviour of the peoples that has been suggested by revised technology acceptance model. Though the technology acceptance model has many limitations current study using this model can be very much helpful for future researchers and educators in the context of social media.

Journal Article related to the Diffusion of Innovation Theory:

In this case the selected article is the “Diffusion of Innovation Theory and an Implementation on Enterprise Resource Planning Systems.” According to the authors Akça and Özer (2014), enterprise resource planning is very much important for many organizations and businesses. While this system is implemented within the organisation various significant organisational activities accomplished but also many of them remains unachieved. To solve this issues variables of the Diffusion of Innovation Theory can be utilised. Here the Diffusion of Innovation Theory can be used for guiding the implementation of enterprise resource planning system within the organisation. From several of other researches it has been assessed that variable present within the Diffusion of Innovation Theory is capable of accelerating the innovation adoption. This article has defined essential building blocks of applications that are required for implementing the enterprise resource planning software system within the organisation. The theory of diffusion of innovation also elaborates that organisations should practice the information system that they are going to implement considering four factor groups which are user characteristics, organisational characteristics, innovation characteristics and environmental characteristics. Also this theory has stated that organisations that are selling the ERP systems must concentrate on the technical compatibility. It should be designated that the enterprise resource planning systems must be compatible with the present value of the organisation.
