Lack of regular exercise is linked to an increase in the prevalence of many chronic diseases and deterioration of the health status of many individuals around the globe. This means that exercise can have a wide range of health benefits on people who regularly engage in physical activity. Health experts recommend a 225 minutes exercise every week to maintain optimal performance of the body. Engaging in exercise can lead to both long-term and short-term health benefits.

Firstly, exercise leads to improved sex life .regular exercise as been shown to have a positive impact on people’s sex life by boosting their sex drive. In this regard, exercise is linked to improved blood circulation, toning of muscles, strengthening of the cardiovascular system, and enhancing flexibility, all of which lead to improved sex life.Besides, Regular exercise improves performance during sex and enhances sexual pleasure. For men, regular exercise improves their sexual function score and minimizes erectile dysfunction. For women, on the other hand, regular exercise may lead to an improvement in the frequency of orgasms. Regular is, therefore, responsible for increased sexual desire, sexual function, and performance in both genders .Besides, exercise leads to improved energy levels. Taking part in regular exercise can significantly boost the energy levels of both healthy individuals and those struggling with various health conditions. This is contributed by the fact that regular exercise builds endurance ability and strengths muscles. On the same note regular exercise helps people suffering from various health conditions such as cancer, HIV/AIDS and chronic fatigue syndrome to deal with feelings of fatigue. In other words, exercise enhances the delivery of nutrients and oxygen to body tissues and improves the functioning of the cardiovascular system. This in return, gives people more energy to carry out daily activities.

Secondly, exercise can also help in weight loss. On this note, inactivity is one of the leading causes of health conditions such as obesity and overweight. Exercise helps in weight loss by increasing the metabolic rate of the body, which in return helps the body to burn more calories. The amount of calories consumed is determined by the intensity of the exercise. This means that intense exercise leads to the expenditure of more energy, while less intense exercises lead to the expenditure of low amounts of energy. Similarly, exercise speeds up the process of fat metabolism and maintenance of muscle mass, thus protecting people from unnecessary weight gain.Regular exercise also acts as a mood booster. This implies that taking part in regular exercise makes people feel happier by minimizing feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression. Exercise alters the part of the brain responsible for feelings of stress and anxiety. Additionally, it improves the sensitivity of the brain to depression relieving hormones such as norepinephrine and serotonin. It, therefore, leaves people feeling more relaxed, less anxious and happier. Both intense and less intense exercises lead to an improvement in the mood.

Also, exercise minimizes the risk of diseases and health conditions such as cancer, type 2 diabetes, stroke and Arthritis (Mayo Clinic Staff). Lack of exercise is the leading cause of these chronic conditions. Regular exercise contributes to the management of health conditions by decreasing body fat levels, decreasing blood pressure, improving cardiovascular fitness, and improving insulin sensitivity of the body. On the other hand, failure to take part in exercise leads to an increase in belly fat, which contributes to many of these health conditions. Similarly, exercise is an essential requirement for relaxation and a high quality of sleep. Notably, exercise leads to depletion of energy from the body, which stimulates convalescent processes during sleep. These processes are linked to improved quality of sleep. More importantly, engaging in regular exercise benefits the elderly who are mainly affected by sleep disorders. Therefore, exercise, regardless of its nature or type, can help people to sleep better at night and make them feel more energized during the day

In conclusion, exercise provides significant benefits to people’s health and well being. Taking part in regular exercise can help individuals feel happier, less stressed and more relaxed. Besides, exercise leads to improved quality of sleep and helps in weight management. Also, engagement in mild or intense exercise improves sexual urges and performance in both men and women. Besides, it minimizes people’s risk of developing chronic diseases and conditions such as cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, and cancer
