Response to short answer 1:

The Developmental considerations in relationship to a developmental model includes some of the most important developmental consideration such as- the interaction between the individual and social contextual factors and the relationship between the two can have a major impact upon the individuals personality (Ansell, 2016). And the term development refers to the emotional, physical, cognitive and psychological changes that occur in an individual throughout their life span. According to the Bowlby’s attachment theory, children are born with an innate need for forming attachments and such attachments can help the children in their survival by ensuring that children receive proper protection and care (Clifford, 2017). The theory also identified the importance of proper relationship between the caregivers and the children which affects their development and also influences their social relationships throughout their lifetime (Bowlby, 2018). In the given case study, it is clearly understood that Robert did not receive the attachment that he needed at an early age when he used to stay with his biological parents in fact bruises were found in school and hence he was moved to the foster care and that has had a major impact upon his psychological development (Cowie & Pecherek, 2017).

Response to short answer 2:

According to my observation and the story that I have heard about Robert from Ms. Smith ( a foster parent) I feel that one of the main reasons behind the psychological underdevelopment of Robert lies in his past. He was moved to the foster care after bruises were observed upon him in school. And when I personally spoke to Robert also in my office he did not verbally respond time and his foster parent told me that he is suffering from speech delays and he also does not have food language skills and in fact he hardly speaks. Even when he speaks slurs words and makes sounds that is difficult to understand. Therefore from the above developmental theory it is clear that Robert lacked a proper kind of attachment with his biological parents and maybe also with the foster parent as she was holding Roberts wrists tightly and as a result it us affecting his development including all- physiological, physical and also cognitive developmental factors.

Response to short answer 3:

The cultural considerations and issues includes- strong cultural values and moral codes in relation to loyalty, hospitality and also a sense of duty for supporting the community. People are highly aware of their personal integrity and honor (Alswat et al., 2017). In fact the Saudi Arab culture emphasizes upon the importance of morality and personal ethics. Hence the people belonging to this culture have a great sense of conviction in relation to their moral code and also righteousness of faith. Hence, I will maintain complete confidentiality of all the information that is shared to me by Me Smith about Robert and his biological parents and also about the condition of Robert. I will also discuss about the exception to confidentiality with Ms. Smith such that she does not feel that confidentiality has been violated.

Response to sort answer 4:

Some of the major ethical issues that can be faced by professionals and counselors includes- issues related to maintaining boundaries, issues arising out of personal problems, issues related to maintaining the confidentiality, issues related to respecting the patients and their cultural differences, and other issues related to carrying out of the responsibilities as required by a person occupying the role (Pereira & Rekha, 2017). Therefore in case of the treating Robert also I will ensure that I do not indulge in any of the ethical issues. In addition to the ethical issues, there may be some legal issues that can be faced by the health care professional and counselors such as where the counselor I required to not maintain the confidentiality as maintaining the same may result in any kind of harm to the client then they may be subjected to legal issues and there are several principles that needs to be followed including- beneficence, autonomy, justice, non-maleficence, and also fidelity.
