Response to post #1

In response to Kisher Napper’s post, I would like to give appreciation for posting about her perspective in the subject matter. I support the information in the post by saying that it is reasonable and justifiable to treat students differently. The main goal for teachers in class is to explore the knowledge they have on students. Each student has a right to learn all the new information taught in class. However, students are of different types within a learning center (Naik, 2019). When a teacher teaches in class, the knowledge is passed to all the students, what makes a difference for other students to be referred to as students with disabilities is the method at which the knowledge is processed in each student. Some students require special treatment due to some complicated issues of disabilities that may attract poor performance when not given attention. Some students are slow learners hence they need a longer time to process the information that is taught. There are students with special needs for instance those suffering from poor sight. Teachers should ensure that they sit in front where there are no light reflections in order to see writings on the board clearly. Such students should also be given at least extra time to complete their tasks because of the difficulties to read and understand like other students (Rozenbajgier, 2020).

Response to post #2

In response to Jason’s post, I agree with his post. The way in which children with disabilities are supported to achieve their goals is the same way those without disabilities should be supported so that they can all achieve their goals. Parents and teachers should not assume that students who are not disabled need less support than those who are disabled. They should all be attended to in each way possible so that they achieve their education goals. They cannot be treated the same way as students with disabilities because disabilities are grouped into different special categories that requires a special and suitable response. However, non-disabled students may require support on skills of studying, understanding and how make an improvement in their class performances (Craig & De Búrca, 2015). It is reasonable to consider the needs of students with disabilities and those with no disabilities because it will assist in improving class performance of all the children in general. There are general needs that are appropriate and should be provided to all students without bias. For example, when free education is oferred in communities, all children will benefit from free education and achieve their dreams in life (Peytcheva-Forsyth, Yovkova & Aleksieva, 2019).
