  1. Team working is one of the core skills for employability. According to Schein (1980), teams form for both functional and psychological reasons. Write an essay discussing the functional and psychological reasons according to Schein theory. (This question will test your essay writing and paraphrasing skills.)

Answer:

Leadership in the organization is a must and it is very important that it brings cooperation and coordination in the organization so that the productivity of the organization is better. Edger Schein has stated these points while discussing regarding the qualities of the employee which is required to become employable. It is often noted that the employees are more motivated and focused towards their work when they are working in the team (Schein and von Ameln 2019). Hence, community plays a very important role in changing psychological aspects for employee. Team work is very important in the practical aspect which considers that he role of the employee, tasks given to them and the position of the employee are interrelated. Employees generally looks into others performances and it is noted that this creates a psychological or social pressure over them so that they perform better. Teams are generally used for increasing a healthy competitiveness into the organization so that the employees who are working in the team can be able to meet their goal on or before time (Schein 2019). The employees comparatively feels happy, stronger and motivated in their workplace due to this. As per Schein, one individual may not feel motivated all the time and may not be able to complete a certain task by their own. At this point they require proper assistance along with the same kind of motivation which is implied in a team. Group of people are more possibly to provide better motivation and solution to every doubt while completing a task. Proper assistance can be received in a team and one of the main objective is to gain skill of employability which is only possible through working in a team as it helps to learn regarding the coordination and cooperation with other team members to successfully complete the task.
