Part A Task 2: Workplace Reflection

In preparation for writing your reflection please review the instructions on the unit site under Assessment > Assessment 3 > Part A

To extract from the interview I have found out that the Senior Manager Mr. Tabrez Alam of Commonwealth Bank is a very humble person despite of the post he presents in the organization. The manager said that he is working in the organization and managing the branch for more than 6 years. When I talking with him I have found out that he has a very good communication skill, he was able to explain his journey in the organization. He said that he had to go through various types of hardships in order to get promoted in the present position he is working. He has experienced a huge amount of knowledge and skills in his journey. He has gained a good leadership skills, communication skills, he has a good multitasking skills and manages multiple projects at once. He also shared his previous experience in the place of management, finance, sales and few other relevant business roles. He had started his career as a sales executive and with huge amount of hard work he has now gained a position of a branch manager. In order to conclude after conducting the interview with branch manager, I have gained a huge amount of motivation and learned the suitable use of my managing and marketing skills which I have gained from my course. I learned that as a manager he has very much actively involved with the team he has to work in the bank branch so that he could get the things done. He also monitors the work progress and communicates with each of the members present in each team. He gets the hardest and toughest work done by the team members by effectively communicating with them and helping them with their problems. He also said that communication and collaboration are two most important things when the team is working on a project work, it is because without flowing with everyone in a team things get harder to be achieved. This made a thing clear to me that being a branch manager of the bank he needs to understand the body language of the members working in the team and helps them to accept other members ideas in the project work. In order to increase the motivation among the employees working in the team the branch manager helps them by saying that he is always by their side and ready to help them at any cost. He also pays utmost attention to the employees. He explained that by saying he always asks them to repeat the question which was asked by the members of the team. He also hold very good social skills, he was able to provide all the answers which I asked him. He did not hesitate to answer the questions.
