Counselling Triad: 1031126

Why might trainee counsellors be unwilling to disclose their personal problems for use during trainee triad session? Discuss at least three reasons

In the study of counselling, using triad method to disclose the personal problems of the trainee counsellors is a renowned practice. Therefore, the trainees must be willing to disclose their points of view honestly that helps in developing their counselling skills. There are three most important reasons why the trainee counsellors are unwilling to disclose their personal problems. Firstly they lack the confidence that they will be able to become a counsellor, secondly, they lack trust on the others and finally they think that they will be distressed.

What dangers are there for trainees who are unwilling to disclose their personal concerns?

Triad is the process through which the trainees can share their personal problems and information to the other which is one of the most important aspect of healing others through psychological guidance (Li, Law and Yan 2019). Inability to disclose their personal problems the counsellors fail to connect with the others properly which is the main step of being a counsellor. These counsellors therefore also lack the ability to provide adequate support to the patients.
