Brief Assignment Instructions:

Fill in all your student details  at the top of the “Observations” worksheet and read the Assignment Detail specification document on DSO closely. Do not alter any data already provided  in this template file.

Please insert your answer below each question asked on the “Observations” sheet, (i.e. this worksheet) as shown in the following example, Question – A.

Your answers to Questions 1 to 8 should include the following:

– A table of summary data showing your data findings and appropriately calculated  totals in response to the question;

– A chart that ‘best’ illustrates your data findings, some chart type hints are provided. Please include chart titles, axis labels and data labels where appropriate;

– A text box containing a brief explanation of your answer and any further observations or relevant comments you wish to make.

IMPORTANT: In this assignment you should, where appropriate, use a specific Excel functions in the Observations worksheet to analyse the underlaying data worksheets and return your calculation values automatically to the Observations worksheet. You are free to add extra columns of data and calculation in the underlaying data worksheets if you wish for supplementary calculations but you are not permitted to change or alter the original data provided.

NOTE: The use of TABLES or PIVOT TABLES from the Insert tab menu item Tables  to organise data or derive any solutions is NOT PERMITTED and  will result  in a loss of marks for the specific question.

Finally, provide your “Recommendations” as instructed and submit your assignment for marking by the due date.  Please use your Student  ID Number  as the Filename for your  file submission via DSO.
