Health and Physical Education

Health and Physical Education (HPE) is also known as Physical training (PT) in the Commonwealth countries. The Health and Physical Education is a vital part of the educational course, which is related to the physique of the “human body” (Macdonald & Glover, 2010). HPE not only help to groom a child physically but also develop their characteristics. The WA guideline use different types of design to encourage children, such as k-12 design, foundation design, etc.

Global perspective of the Health and Physical Education

The global perspective of the Physical Education and Health draws the attention of the researchers, global scholars as well as practitioners to offer an analysis and review of the new directions of the Health and Physical Education worldwide (consultation.australiancurriculum.edu.au, 2016). The model of Physical Education and Health care system varies depending on the economical and cultural factors of the country.

Now and Future of the Health and Physical Education

The Health and Physical Education in the developing countries greatly vary from those of developed countries. Currently, the models used by the developed countries such as Australia and the United States are more scientific than in the third world countries like India, Sri Lanka, etc. After reviewing the curriculum guideline of Western Australia, 2005 it is found that current and future physical and cultural trends are changing frequently (education.nt.gov.au, 2016). The WA identified several factors that have direct impact upon the safety, health and physical activity of the children.

The evolution of the Health and Physical Education

Schools were always considered as the great medium to develop the concern about health and fitness among the children (kis.in, 2016). Therefore, many games and activities were included in the school course to encourage the children to be health cautious.

Future priorities for the Health and Physical Education

Considering the present scenario of the education system adopted, many changes and plans can be implemented in future to enhance the HPE in schools and institutes.

Conclusion

The modern HP shall have various impacts upon the society in future and can play a significant role in the modern education system as well.
