Identification of Crime: 1358244

The victim in this case as per the victim precipitation theory became a victim because he belonged to a certain race and tribe and purchased things desired by offender. The victim was a 19 year old black man and was murdered at a high crime urban neighbour-hood by his own tool that he uses for gardening. It displays to be a case of disorganised crime scene as the victim was murdered in an area which is in the view of street. The weapon of crime was managed at the scene of crime. It also means that the crime was not planned or pre-meditated. It was a spontaneous crime with no evidence of prior planning (Criminal Justice, Government, and Public Administration, 2019).

The probable causes for murdering the victim could be burglary and the probable reason for the crime could be taking away the things purchased by the victim and robbing him. There was no scuffle between the offender and the victim primarily because the victim was hit from back with the weapon which was available at the crime scene. This also explains that there was no intention of murdering the victim; the only intention was taking away the things. The offender was not an organised criminal as no efforts were made to conceal the weapon or body.  It can be assumed that money was also missing from his pocket since all his identification cards were missing; the offender in a hurry took all the money and identification cards but left the receipt behind. The offender can be assumed to be a poor man or a man who needed money or things purchased by victim (Criminological psychology, 2020).
