Answer:

Summary:

Environmental pollution is a pressing issue in the third world countries and in some parts of the developing countries of Asia.  The South Asian economic giants like India and China have extensive reserves of natural resources like coal and natural gasses: resources that they are putting to use in order to generate electricity and power. Such being the condition, the Afghan nationals are in dire need of alternate sources of energy. To help them in fulfilling their requirements, we have decided to form an organization that would be providing infrastructure required to generate solar energy to the poor households of the country. Such an initiative would not only provide the basic amenity of electricity to these people but would also help to reduce the environmental pollution that is associated with the production of electricity from fossil fuels. The organisation has aimed of importing the solar cells and solar cooker from USA. At the same time, all other technologies will also be imported from America as well. But it is needed to be stated that it desires to have a lot of money to be invested. It is needed to be stated that investors residing in USA will be chained for this process. At the same time, the company also aims at acquiring the money by taking loans from the different Afghanistan banks. It may appear to be quite intrinsic aspect for congenial development of this project.

Statement of Need:

In order to implement this particular project the primary need is nothing but properly availing the solar technology which in most of the cases is unavailable in Afghan nations. It is quite sure that availability of the continuous fall of sunlight is going to present more attenuation to this approach. Burning of coal, wood and charcoal cause huge quantities of fumes, which besides having negative effects on the health of these people, is considered as the major source of air and other environmental pollutions. Importing the technologies from other countries leads in a lot of investment as well. Therefore, the organisation is needed to be planned and organized in such an order so that all of the issues are significantly filled up.

Project Description:

Step 1

Developing an Organisation:

Environmental pollution is a pressing issue in the third world countries and in some parts of the developing countries of Asia.  The South Asian economic giants like India and China have extensive reserves of natural resources like coal and natural gasses: resources that they are putting to use in order to generate electricity and power. China is considered to be the third largest producer of coal in the world, and they are exploiting their resources steadily in order to generate electricity, what would provide power to their industries. India is considered as another major economical power in South East Asia: India generates electricity by burning fossil fuels, besides harnessing the power of their river (hydropower) and that of solar energy. However, it should also be mentioned that the amount of solar power generated by India is negligible as compared to their total power production[1].  However, the condition is even worse in Afghanistan, where not only the process of power generation is entirely dependent on the exploitation of fossil fuels, but the power being generated is insufficient for the entire nation: only one third of Afghan household are connected to the electricity grids[2].  Such being the condition, most of the Afghan households depend on the exploitation of fossil fuel for performing various domestic activities which result in polluting the environment to a great extent. We have undertaken a project that would be helpful in providing the Afghan nationals with infrastructure required to generate solar power, such   that the household demand for power is met with, along with the reduction in the level of environmental pollution.

Step 2:

Mission Statement:

Mission of this project is to enlighten even the remote places of Afghanistan with electricity. The motto of this project is to focus on the reducing the use of fossil fuels. Being a country of incessant sunlight, it is expected that installing the solar panels will be helpful for letting the common people using the renewable energy essentially[3]. The project aims at making Afghanistan an instance to the world of using complete green and renewable energy.

Purpose and Objectives of the Organisation:

The organisation targets at installing maximum number of solar panels in the remote areas of Afghanistan. At the same time making people aware of using the renewable energy is also a quite significant issue. The poor economic conditions of the country have not allowed more power plants to have built up[4]. Therefore, the objective of the organisation is focused onto generate the maximum number of solar energy and channelling it to maximum household of the country. At the same time, reducing of pollution caused from fossil fuel burning is also a sophisticated purpose of the organisation targeted to be achieved. By installing solar panel in different areas across the desert leads to generate a lot of energy which helps in organizing and channelling the electricity to the maximum number of houses in the country.

Approach of the Organisation:

Being Electrical Engineer, we have gained adequate knowledge about the process of generation of electricity through solar energy: this knowledge would be helpful in the operational activities of the organization. A report of Reuters states that the Afghan Government is able to produce at least 3,000 megawatts (MW) on a daily basis. The hydropower plants of the country can generate 500 megawatts (MW)[5]. If solar panels can let be operated proficiently it can solely generate around 1000 megawatts (MW). The organization that has been planned to form will be working towards providing the infrastructures required to provide solar power to these households and thereby fulfils the domestic requirements of power.

Step 3:

Process of Implementation of Plan:

For this approach we have found out a particular place in the desert where sunlight is always available. Placing the solar cells and solar cooker in that area is going to be implemented. As the initial target is to generate around 500 megawatts of energy from a specific site, it leads to determine a cohesive approach[6].

Problems in Execution of the Plan:

There are some intrinsic problems that the organisation may have to have. First problem is that as the site is midst of desert, sand blasting, blizzard may often let stop functioning of the machines and technologies used. It leads to loose of 9-14% of energy every day. Second problem is getting affected by quick sand erosion of the panels is a common matter in a desert. Thirdly, investment may seem to be another significant problem that the organisation may have to face. As people are not so much aware of reliability of this project, investors may not be appeased easily. Finally, the militant groups that are active in various parts of the country have always been targeting US nationals. So taking the engineers from US may not be possible

Solutions of the Problems and Resources Used:

In order to keep the problems aloof, the organisation needs to use the sophisticated technology which helps in automatic clearing of the loose sand that accumulates on the solar panel. Use of different technologies in this aspect is literally identical. Need of better cohesion is of the technical approaches is essential. Technically experienced people are needed to be appointed to supervise and looking after the project and the cells is necessary. Making the investors aware of the necessities of investing in this project is also essential. More to be added, the resources are also needed to be managed properly. If needed, machines and technologies can be imported from the different countries which help in managing difficulties essentially[7]. For the engineers experienced people from Afghanistan are needed to be hired to let them acting properly for the successful accomplish of this project.

The economical and technological resources needed to run this project can be imported from US, however, the manpower needed for this project can be taken up from Afghanistan itself. Government of Afghanistan can be contacted for making this project a success.

Step 4:

Approach of Notifying People:

As most of the people of this organisation are feeling crazy of this project, their contribution can expect to play an integral role in attaining success for this project. Enthusiastic engineers and technicians are literally convenient approaches which help in managing better ethicality. Making people notified about the approaches and possible success leads in managing the employees of the organisation.

Target Audience and Promotion:

For this project the target audience is nothing but those people who lives in the remote areas of desert and prefers burning of fossil fuel are the targeted audience and consumers. Making them aware about the possible worst effect that fossil fuel creates is needed to be made aware among the common people[8]. Making them aware of using the solar energy is literally the positive promotion that can let them attracted to use this energy. As Afghanistan has barely developed internet system, manual promotion is literally intrinsic approach which helps in intrinsic manifestation.

Step 5:

Outcome of the Project:

If the project is successfully accomplished, it can yield a significant result, an instance before the globe to change the globe with green energy. It can better be stated as a prominent approach that helps in determining prominent benefits. It is expected that the organisation will gain immense economic benefits from this project. At the same time technical advancement can also be managed and necessarily developed. Success of this project is literally cohesive in the development of some technical advancement. This project is also intrinsic in this approach.

Conclusion:

It is expected that through this project, we would be able to provide alternative sources of energy to the Afghan nationals staying in rural areas, thus reducing the level of environmental pollution that is presently being generated due to the usage of fossil fuel in the domestic activities of the daily life.
