Why is your chosen ‘area’ worthy of research? Explain the rationale for your topic.
The research will be conducted on the topic known as the transitions of children from pre-school level to primary level school. This is a critical period of their life and it can be challenging for them. In this research area, not a lot of research has been done in the past time. I have a personal interest in this topic because I want to become a primary level school teacher in the upcoming time. It is beneficial to find out for the procedures as well as the necessary method that specialists take to support and explain the positive transitions. In the case of the UK, adequate research has not been done regarding the transition of children from pre-school level to the primary school level. There is only focus on other kinds of challenges surrounding the children’s school transition. The level of education and early phase of childhood has a significant impact to influence kids from birth to eight years of their age (Bera, 2011). The research will begin with a preschool level that will involve kids from the age of three to five years. It will focus on the transition that happened between these years which are considered significant for child development. During the children’s evolution from preschool level school to primary level school, children face various challenges that can be demoralizing for them (Burton, and Bartlett, 2009). It has been perceived that this experience will have an extensive impact on their future level learning as well as development which contributes to their effectiveness of education. These kinds of evolution have been founded to be very effective and successful regarding children.  Evaluations form enough capability to embrace new challenges in the future because they will speedily gain an important approach to learning as well as teaching.
What is your chosen research design?  Why do you think this is the best way to achieve the project’s aims?
The research will include eight interviews within the school of West Midlands. Teaching assistants as well as teachers will be part of the sample level size of interviews. The interview will be recorded by me as it will support me to focus on responses of interviewees effectively. It is important that all the responses are collected in realistic manners that contribute to the effectiveness of research (Brostrom, 2000). The interviews will be conducted within a quiet area of the school. There will be focus to consider interviews in a timely manner. There will be an effective level arrangement with time and working schedule of the teacher. It will allow me to fit within their plans of work regarding education. Researchers need to describe effectively how the whole data was gathered and deliver the groundwork when formulating the plan of research. Analysis of content is reasonably easy and assists in highlighting the substantive level of statements.
Mini literature review: Using four academic articles summaries key issues relating to your research area.
Schaub (2001) has stated that parent cognitive level education to kids before starting the formal level schooling generates a huge number of advantages for children. It has been also suggested that readiness of school can be effectively reviewed as the conventional term. Some kids have benefits in schooling due to their early year’s involvement. It enables to prepare them successfully regarding issues that formal level schooling can pose.   Brooker (2002) has found within his study that level of disparity within the culture of learning in a home as well as a school that overall resulted in prohibiting the children during their early level of classroom education. The curriculum is effectively aligned with particular kinds of early experiences in childhood. All kinds of families, irrespective of education of the mother, were engaged within the perceptive level actions with young children. In past decades, people have become aware of the early level of childhood experiences that are influenced due to the performance of the school. The readiness of school is not resolute through the people but improved through the positive environment.Inclusion, as well as exclusion, is considered a significant priority within the school level education which has been permitted through the parliament of Scottish within 2000. It has provided a high level of equality as well as support to the people that could be benefited due to education. Stephen and Cope (2003) have explained that despite the inclusion level of commitment as well as equality within the school educations is considered as the country-level priorities within Scotland. Children evolution from nursery level to primary level school does not encounter the set standards for an inclusive experience. Data has been gathered and examine from the participating number of 27 children within the initial schooling years. It followed the kids from P1 that were between the age of 4 as well as 5. This has been explained that the teacher’s evidence did not confirm that transition is a single way process. It has been explained that children belong to many different backgrounds, cultures, as well as experiences that are important and effective part of inclusive level practices in school. The key objective of the research was to gain an important understanding regarding the children’s evolution experiences from primary level school and further review the actions of teachers as well as parents. This has been explained through the study conducted by Brostrom (2000) regarding the readiness of Danish children’s school. He provided that readiness of school is connected to the development of a personal, intellectual as well as social level capability to promote the success of a school. It has been also noted by him that the Danish education ministry of young children focuses on school readiness as their main agenda. They have initiated actions to support preschool. This overall leads to create successful level transitions. Questionnaires of Brostrom included 32 types of critical transition level actions that took place within the development of defendants to Judge either an important and good idea or not an effective or good idea.  240 teachers of preschool level, teachers at the kindergarten level, and teachers of elementary school level participated within the study. The findings present that teaching employees present a positive level of attitude for activities of transition. 75 percent of teachers are judging the effectiveness of a good idea. It has also been explained that lack of communication within the teachers of pre-school level as well as teachers from the level of kindergarten class has a significant impact on children’s evolutions. Children from the kindergarten class also met other children which affect their knowledge and overall understanding that contributes to their transition.
What are your chosen data collection methods?  Why these most are appropriate?
Interviews are chosen as a preferable approach to data collection. I prefer in-depth discussion as it provides a detailed level of information. This is very important to select effective methods that enable them to gain research objectives (Gillham, 2000). It will be a semi level structured interview and cautions will be planned earlier. Interviews will support me to gain effective control over the interviewee compared to questionnaires.Interviews have a huge number of advantages as compared to questionnaires because they allow the interviewer to overcome many challenges directly (Mason, 2002). There are difficulties faced by the respondents to understand questions. Respondents can be exhilarated for a particular level of quality and explain further to solve the challenges. There are also many disadvantages while using interviews which include bias. Bias can occur because of the interviewer and the ways they interact. This can have an influence on the interviewee. Knowledge as well as the position of the interviews could have an impact on the topic of research. No kind of head-nodding as well as agreeing could minimize the impact of the interviewer during the interview. The interview will be recorded through video recording. The video copy of the recording will be demolished after utilization. The interview has advantages as they enable to assist and identifying who is documenting the data (Harding, 2013). One-on-one level interview and group level interviews are effective ways for respondents in many situations. Children’s experiences within the transition period have a substantial level shift within the present time because they are subjected to considerable level demands which will allow new peers, practices, phases, atmosphere, and practitioners of concern expectations. Adjustment regarding new kinds of circumstances can be crucial as it could be seen as a successful and critical evolution. Children experience particular challenges on a regular basis. It will become the trend that will be regular with the level of schooling.
How do you intend to improve the validity of your research?
There will be a focus to conduct the research within a professional manner by keeping the participants accurately and without bias. There will be fully focused to ensure that participation is achieved while following ethical principles that will guide during difficult conditions. Application of ethical framework will set the formal level ethical guidelines that overall educational level researchers consider (Hawkridge, Jaworski, & McMahon, 2016).There are huge numbers of factors that will emerge but the main focus remains to apply the appropriate practices with the right directions. The focus will be on accessible practices. Subjective bias will enable to work with necessary methods. The development of code will enable to apply the strategic level priorities. Techniques of measurement will enable to improve the randomization and it will minimize the sample bias. A deep level of saturation within the research will enable to promote validity. There will be a focus to actively seek alternative explanations that appear within the results of research.
How do you intend to ensure that your research is ethical?
A right will be provided to interviewees that name will be remaining anonymous and they will have the right to withdraw from video and audio that will be recorded. There will be a focus to ensure that valid claims are made in place of false claims. This is important that researchers are aware of choices and make within the time of data analysis (Schaub, 2001). It could be undertaken by keeping progress and accurate recording by considering the application of a particular level of approach. This is important to examine the level of contribution with a change of approach that can convince and re-engage the procedures. Participants will be requested to fill the consent forms when they provide their data. Importance can be gained through the effective biased resources which reveal the right reviews of groups as well as individuals. Validity will be presented through the use of an appropriate data collection method. Taking the right precaution as well as thinking regarding the procedure of data collection will be effective. Ethical level practices will enable to work with the ethical position. The information sheet will be effective for the participants to outline the objectives as well as aims to provide the details of the contact.
What problems could occur during the undertaking of your research and how do you plan to resolve these?
While conducting research there are various elements that create challenges that are necessary to overcome (Moore, 2000). For instance, in school, authorization has not been allowed to student If things would not work as per the plan, then researchers should be prepared for changing the method. Changes within the direction will enable to gain access and work effectively to achieve an important number of objectives. Data collection methods could be changed through an effective strategy. The main focus will be on accessibility at a practical level. Subjective level bias will enable to work with an additional number of challenges. It would allow to working with necessary methods.
