Birthdays are always special to each and every individual. The date of the birth resembles many of the events and the historical context that is associated with the date. This essay will illustrate the historical and the past events that have occurred in the birth date of the author, that is on October 12 in the context of five different sources including newspaper articles, magazine articles, governmental publication, artefacts and the local posts. There has been many historical events that have occurred in the past years in an around the date of October 12.

As per the New York Times, October 12 of the year 2000 witnessed the warship explosion in the state of Yemen that took the lives of 6 American sailors and 11 other gone missing in the ships of the United States. The explosion has been suspected to come from the small harbour boats where two of the foreign men were aboard with full of loaded explosives aiming and targeting for the planned suicide attack (Take Me Back To 12 October 1958, Sunday, 2019).  As per the local report, the explosion has been suspected to be the terrorist attacks causing extensive flooding and might to directed towards the roiling tension at the Middle East.

Beside the political context, there has been certain cultural things that has happened in and around the date of October 12 (This Week in History: October 12 – October 18 – Newsweek Middle East., 2016). As per the article by the Newsweek, the October of 1988 witnessed Naguib Mahfouz to receive the award for the Nobel prize for the famous literature work.  The decade showed the first ever Egyptian writer to become the first Arab Writer deserving the recognition for the promotion of the freedom of speech.

Article from the Washington post highlighted a news from October 1974 regarding the sports where the walking wreck, as called by Deacon Jones to Larry Smith  and Sonny Jorgensen stood hero and the saviour respectively  among all his teammates and each and every fanatic of football after their marvellous actions for the 20-17 defeat of the Miani Dolphins (The Washington Post Company., 1974). Irrespective of the broken bones in his hand and foo which were throbbing constantly together with the pain from the groin muscle, October 12 saw the dedication and passion of this footballer.

As per the record of the governmental publication, the date of the October 12 witnessed one of the new and the improved perspective’s regarding the history of the post-colonial era. The date furthermore showed the workshop on the use of the foreign relation with the 21st century at the 21st century (Office of the Historian, Bureau of Public Affairs., 2019). This workshop was based regarding the research of the post war context of the history of the national struggles and the ways for the research capabilities regarding the foreign relations of the United States.

As per the publication of a local magazine of the United States, the October 12 of the year 1958 witnessed the rise of the United States president, Dwight D. Eisenhower who had the republican (Take Me Back To 12 October 1958, Sunday, 2019).
