Question:

Part 1. Now – Planning Professional Development –  A written discussion (a, b, c) and CPD Plan and start of your CPD Record

  1. a) Using the CIPD’s HR Profession map, summarise what you think are the key competency areas for today’s HR professionals: what knowledge, skills and behaviours are needed for effective performance in your HR role?

 

  1. b) Undertake a self-assessment of your capabilities as an HR professional, by using the CIPD’s “my CPD Map” diagnostic online tool. Use this as the basis for a personal “SWOT” analysis in which you identify your strengths and weaknesses in relation to the behaviours and/or professional areas, opportunities for possible development and threats to your personal/professional aspirations if you do not develop yourself.

 

  1. c) Describe elements of group dynamics which may be encountered by an HR professional and conflict resolution methods that could be applied.

 

  1. d) Produce a CPD plan with at least four entries; transfer your key learning needs from your personal SWOT. Identify at least two development activities for each of your learning needs and evaluate these activities (pros and cons).  Identify your preferred options for you and detail how you will plan for the learning. Use the CPD Plan Template.

 

  1. e) Deliver your first entries (at least three) in your CPD Record using the CPD Record Template.

 

You will submit these documents by the submission date indicated on your timeline, and you’ll receive feedback on your work.  As there are three parts to the assessment for DVP you won’t complete and submit parts 2 and 3 until the end of your programme and will receive feedback on these parts at this point.

 

Part 2. Throughout the programme – maintaining your CPD record

 

Maintain your CPD record, making a note of any learning activities you have undertaken and reflecting on what you have learnt from these, and how you intend to apply your learning. Aim for one or two entries a week. You will submit this CPD record again at the end of the programme.

 

 

Part 3. Reflective statement

 

  1. a) Summarise the development objectives you identified in your CPD plan at the start of the programme and reflect on how you have developed in these areas.

The profession requires different types of characteristics and qualities for the management of the professions.   • The hr department also provides the organization with the knowledge about the staffs of the organization for carrying out the tactical duties successfully.

Weaknesses

  • The budget cuts and the constrains are matters that the HR department has to deal with.

The study in this field is very important to understand the decision making behaviour of a group. In addition to this, the tracking of the newer type to concepts that are spreading in group are possible due to this. Additionally, the popularity of the newer trends that are evolving in the society are also detected from this concepts. The applications of the concepts can be applied in the field of psychology, anthropology, sociology, political science, epidemiology, social work, education, and business and communication studies. The factors that affect the group dynamics are environmental factors, personal factors and leadership factors. The group dynamics have their roots in both the psychology and sociology. There is much type of theories that have come up regarding the group dynamics. In addition to this, the group dynamics provide the knowledge about the behaviours of a group in various aspects.

The conflict resolution is a technique that is used in between two or more company for obtaining a solution that would be useful in solving various type of complex problems. The techniques uses various types of conflict resolution techniques. They provide different type of conflicting styles such as avoidance style of conflict style. In addition to this, the yielding conflicting style, the competitive conflicting style. Conciliation conflict style, conciliation conflict style and co operation conflicting style. The conflicting resolutions can be used in both professional field and as well as in the academic fields as well. These type of techniques can be also be found in the animals.
