Abstract
The report investigates the degraded heath conditions of the employees working in the organisation. The report explicitly talks about the rigid structure of the companies and a need to overlook the same. The recommendation that has been given is based on a Utilitarian approach, that the working hours should be cut down, and also by employing a number of part-time workers in an organisation to distribute the workload. Once such a disciplined approach is inculcated in the system, it would encourage health quality among the employees and thus would prove healthy for the profit of the company too.

The purpose of the report is to throw light upon the effects that the long working hours have on the employees working in an organisation (Arber,S & Chatzitheorhari, S 2009).
The sections that have been put in the report briefly discuss three major points:
- Effects of strenuous working hours on health.
- The need to restructure the organizations’ schedule patterns.
- Hiring part-time workers to increase work efficiency.
Also, it is suggested that distribution of workload, would bring less pressure on the employees thus increasing the amount of happiness among employees, which is much needed for the positive growth of the company and the individual. 
Findings
‘Time poverty’ is the phrase that can be put to use when it comes to the work load and time shortage. It is because of the long working hours in the organization that an average employee suffers from the hyper-tension all the time (Dembe, A 2009). The concept of long working hours has thus been highly discouraged, as it takes away the employee from the domestic life and other household duties. Having experienced it the workers remain under stress from where begin the cycle of vicious attacks on health. It is found that long working hours have never promised quality work, as the employee only remains dejected because of the monotonous routine, which in fact have an adverse effect on the productive working of the employees. One of the major health flaws are seen, as sleep deprivation is the common problem but it demands concern because in such cases there is a high risk of chronic diseases (Dembe, A, Erickson J, Delbos, R & Banks, S 2005). Such high working shifts raises the risk of fatigue, stress, hyper-action, frustration, diabetes and cancer, as a physical drawback. Also, the employees render low performance, and frequency of errors and mistakes increases.

Conclusion
The focus of the organization should not be the number of the working hours but the quality of work which an average member is rendering. The revision needs to be done in the strict structure which a company traditionally follows. The organization should have a responsibility towards the health and living conditions of its employees. On the basis of the findings, organization needs to employ work strategies to encourage productivity, which can be done by devising a situation which focuses on creating a set of jobs that are less time consuming, important measures to ensure that suitable jobs are available for as many people who want to work as possible. There is a need for a work environment which is not merely profitable, but also improves health and leisure time. The organisation needs to acquire an ethical concern for each employee, because nothing can be achieved by being hyper-tensed or anxious, it is always a calm mind that is the key to success (Handy, C 2009). The first wealth is health. As brought correctly by Ralph Waldo Emerson: “The first wealth is health.”
