The new courses are introduced on the daily basis and a lot of awareness is also being created about the same, the institutes and the schools have been advertising about the new facilities in education. So, with the introduction of new courses, those schools or the educational institutes are usually most followed. In the competition around it is seen that the educators and the parents are always in the rush to send their children to the study institutes therefore not realising that they have been indirectly making them take extra pressure in the early years of learning (Barber & Sebba, 1999).
Pedagogy is important a phenomenon when it comes to learning and it is something which is practiced in the early years of learning. No doubt it is important to make the child grow in terms of knowledge and learning. It is only possible when the curriculum is liberal in its very approach and is not comprised of too many things at a time. As the age at which the young learners are exposed to the studies is much fragile and sensitive, and if they are forced much they could feel stressed and this also remains the focus of this essay. It is seen that if lesser pressure is laid on the shoulders of the children then they can perform better as that would ensure quality atmosphere to them to study less but in a much effective manner. The activities which are other than the studies remain suppressed for the students when they are burdened with the load of the studies. The life of the students with much work load make the students devoid of any leisure time so that they could feel de-stressed. This way the pressure of the students only make the students to think bitter of the studies and loos hope that they can excel in the subjects too. Curriculum is a very important part which can great help the students and the teachers so as to assure the quality studies without burdening the students much. This quality of the curriculum can only be determined by the design which the curriculum would hold. The design of the curriculum today is mostly blended of many extreme activities ranging from theory to the practical studies. This in a way leaves no time for the students to think beyond the books or the practical labs thus making them work at there to as always. This trend in the globalised set up is in fact making the students feel pressurised because all they invest in is the patterns of the curriculum and they indulge in meeting the demands of the system rather than focusing upon the needs of the time and the opportunities in the private sphere of life. The learning is more imposing in its nature today it has been making the students to learn in a much suffocated way where they have no choice to speak and give feedback to the whole learning process. This way it juxtaposes many of the interests of the students thus entertaining no subjectivity at the part of the educators. It should be noticed that if the curriculums would be as tightly structured this would only make them gain knowledge which in turn cannot be reflected upon by the students (Gosling, 2009).
In fact one can notice the prevailing voids in the system of education and these gaps could be filled to an extent if the didactic structure of the curriculum is employed in the learning process which can be helpful in lessening the burden of the students. It is even noticed that the students have so much to attend to that they even cannot complete their syllabus even well before the exams. The situation in fact should be such which gives ample of time for the student to learn and leave enough time for the revision activities but that does not happen in reality. The burden of the studies is such where the students do not study because they want to but because they have to because they have to pass so as to reach the next level of the studies. Instead of enhancing the quality of the education it is seen that the learning today is all about gaining high scores and excelling objectively, thus leaving the quality of the education somewhere at the behind (Cooper, et al. 2010). The educators are not realising today that emphasis on fetching good marks is somewhere making the students more anxious with the passing time and the increasing level of the studies and a lot of syllabus to complete. More than the competition around the competition is laid more between the books and the students that who wins it is seen that finally the books wins because the students fail in their capacity to fill themselves by the range of the words written in the book. The students tend to feel pressurised because they are being made to learn all the knowledge which has been already created primarily. The system of the education is such which makes the student mug up then same facts and the formulas in the empirical studies as are already do by the pre-existing authors and the writers. It always cannot be accepted by the student because the formulas and the existing patterns of the facts might not strike the mind set-up of the student but then in that case the students are left with no choice but to go by the prescribed syllabus. Again a gap can be seen here in the whole education system, the gap lies in the psychology of the education setters and the psychology of the ones who study. It is an imbalanced association which unfortunately exits in the society where the latter has to forcefully receive what has to be given by the precursors of the education (Bransford, et al. 2000).
The fact has to be highlighted that no effective change can be brought out when such a nature of learning exists. The system should recognise that the textbooks should be more practical than emphasising upon the set theory and the already created texts/, they should also be realising that educational resources can be many and certainly can be beyond the prescribed texts. Therefore, the students can be initiated to watch educating TV channels or should be left to choose liberally to choose what they want to study, this way when the students are left more choices and once the opinions the opinions of the students are entertained then they would feel encouraged to participate more in the classroom activities. This way the student’s behaviour would turn more positive towards the studies. The more the participation increases in the classroom the lesser the levels of depression and the anxiety in a student go (Deakin University Australia, n.d.). This way it can be said that the learning for the students can be fun and effective simultaneously meeting the challenges of the time and the society.
