Schein in his theory states that a team is created to assist an organisation to achieve the business objectives. A team consist of a number of individuals who have come from various socio economic and cultural backgrounds and combining all these individuals a team is formed for both psychological and functional reasons.  A team is created for the execution of certain functions that will help the organisation in achieving business growth and to sustain in the competitive market. As a team consist of different individuals with different skills and expertise it can be possible to get the best result from a team which will assist the organisation in achieving the expected target that is set by the higher level management. A team always driven towards a functional role that is essential to keep the business activities operative (Wiley McCormac and Calic 2020).

Forming of interactive environment in the organisation is the main psychological factor for which a team is formed. As a team consist of various individuals having distinct characteristics it helps to create a competitive environment among them from which the organisation can get financial benefits as higher degree of competition can increase the overall productivity of the respective organisation. Another psychological factor for which a team is created is that it create a bondage among the members of the team to work unitedly for a common purpose and that in many cases encourage an individual to deliver more than their normal capacity level. The human psychology of helping each other can be used by forming team which will help to solve many problems that cannot be solved by a single individual.

Setting of common goal is an important psychological factor for which a team is created, a common goal can only be set if all the members agreed with a common objective and as team create a bond between different individuals it become easy to set a common goal within a team (Coghlan 2020).
