Introduction

The report is made in regards with the topics leadership and team building. Being the captain of the team there were several things which has to manage to run the team in the effective way. In this report the significance of the leadership in the team will be stated and their role in the team will be enhanced which results in improving the productivity (Shaw, et al., 2016). The recommendations will also be given to enhance the performance of the team.

Significance of leadership on a team

In a good effective team, leadership is required as it provides the guidance to the team members to perform their roles effectively in the team. Leaders are the one who assign the roles and responsibilities to the team members so that can fulfill their roles on time. If team is not working in the effective manner then it is the leader only who motivates the team members to perform well and helps in attaining their roles.

Being the captain of the leader I always motivate team members and ensure that all are performing well in the company. As the captain of the team I also ensure that working environment for the team is effective or not as an effective working atmosphere leads to the fostering the environment (Drescher, et al., 2014). The leader also promotes the essential values in the company so they play the significant part in the team. Leaders not only provide the guidance to the staff but also proper the growth of the team by motivating the team members. Every team has some visions and goals so leader helps in achieving those goals by setting out the tome for the staff. Leaders maximize the efficiency to perform well In the team members.

Four ways a team interacts with all stakeholders

To interact with the stakeholders in the company is essential as they are the one who run the company so to make the effective relationship is required. The four ways of team interactions with the stakeholders are stated below:

Leader to team: The stakeholder is interacted by having the meeting by leader to team. Leader is the one who provides instructions; directions and guidance go the team. A leader is the one who know the strength of the team, their weakness o they motivates them and interact with them in the effective manner. The functions of the team members are oversee by the leader and in that way they interact with each other.

Team to leader: The team also interacts with the leader with their queries and issues in the team. There are many things which the team members have to convey to the leader so that effective working environment can be maintained in the company (Cole, et al., 2013). The team after completing their project also report to their leader so they interact in that way.

Teammate to teammate: In an organization there are several teams which divided into the small groups. Teammate to Teammate also interacts as they belong to the different department in the company or they can be the competitors for each other. Teammate to teammate helps in interacting and connecting with the different team member also.

Team to public: The team also interacts with the public when they represent some presentation or convey their message to them (Gagnon and Collinson, 2014). The public can be the customers so to interact with them is essential to build effective relationship with them. Team also interacts with the public to enhance the growth and to improve their efficiency.

Compare how investing in the team over time is impacted or sustained through those interactions.

Investing in team is very essential over time as it helps in achieving the goals in better way and helps in making the connection and building the effective relationship. Investing in the team is one of the essential decisions as it helps in not guiding and providing the direction but also helps in came up with the new ideas and options. The goals in the team are achieved when all the team works together and they have the good understanding between them. a good relations and understanding between the team is built through the investing in the team and interacting with the team members (Smolović Jones, et al., 2016). By making the missions and vision clear to all the team members, the turnover in the team member gets reduced.

Interacting also helps the team in sustaining for the longer period of time and helps in attaining the goals in the better way. By interacting the team with the people helps them in sustaining fir the longer period of time as it helps in building the connection with the team. Team also performs better and sustained effectively when there is the competition among the different teammates. Those interactions stated above not only help in interacting with the other team members but also helps in performing well with the competitive spirit.

Recommend team-building and leadership strategies to enhance the performance of the team

It is recommended that leaders should adopt the Democratic leadership style in which while making any decisions on the company the group members also take participate. The employees also feel like they are connected with the company when their opinions are consider and an open communication line is build up. Democratic leadership strategy is recommended to team leaders as it encourages the creativity, strengthens the relationship and even improves the job satisfaction of the employees (Aga, et al., 2016).

It is recommended that performance of the team can be enhanced by setting the clear goals for the team. The leader should assign the roles and responsibilities to the team members effectively so that the team members delegated work effectively. It is also recommended that communication should be done effectively in the team to enhance the productivity and efficiency. The strategy has to be built by the leader in the team in which they put the major focus on the strength of the leader and provides the way to improve the weakness of the team members (McKeown and Carey, 2015).

It is recommended that leader should provide the incentives or some other rewards to the team members so that team members stay motivated and work in the more effective way. Leader should also communicate with the team members personally so that he can evaluate if there is any team members who put grudges to the team members. The effective environment should be build u by the leader so it is recommended that there should be flexibility at the working environment to that employees sustain with the team (Cole, et al., 2013).

Conclusion

From the above report it is concluded that leaders are important in any team members as they are one which leaders are the one who assign the roles and responsibilities to the team members and also guide them to work in the effective way. In this report the four ways of interacting with the stakeholders are stead and then it is compared. In this report it is recommended that Democratic leadership strategy is effective as it helps in involving the team members in taking the decisions and encourages the creativity, strengthens the relationship with them. Leaders not only provide the guidance to the staff but also motivate the team members which has clearly stated in this report.
