My life seemed to become difficult since the age of eleven. My parents got divorced when I was two years old. My mother and I never had a mother daughter relationship. We had difficulties understanding each other and I struggled to come to an agreement. This was depressing and frustrating for me. Eventually, I managed to keep my problems aside and became stronger to face my challenges. My father has always understanding of my situations and has been there during my tough times. Last year in school, I struggled with math and I failed my exams. Even though I suffered the consequences, I took this failure positively and began working hard. In the end all my hard had worked paid off and I managed to pass. High levels of concentration, hard work and effective management in tasks I perform, helped me in achieving desired results. This changed me as a person and made me stronger day by day.

My desire to take up adult nursing course came after I had my experience to do my job training at St. Maarten Medical Center and at a doctor’s clinic. During this time, I had the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge about different medical conditions. This experience has made me understand the importance of working under safety procedures and conditions and has taught me to work well as part of the team with other healthcare professionals. Being a part of the health care team required excellent communication and team work. This is how, I felt the need of providing my services in the health sector and has inspired me take up nursing. Earning a master’s degree in nursing would give me a great opportunity in reaching my dream of becoming a qualified physician. Moreover, I will get the opportunity of earning a license in American. This will get me to get a job in the United States. Currently, I am in the process of obtaining a secondary diploma. Throughout my academics, I have learnt the need to work hard and being systematic to achieve desired outcomes. This helped me to manage time well and gave me a solid foundation to get accepted into your Prestigious University.

I love to seek challenges which are part of this profession, constantly learn, work hard and being open in experiencing new things. High levels of focus and time management helped me to achieve desired results and finish my tasks on time. In my free time, I love to sing and enjoy reading. Even I would even make my work into a song so I would be able to remember much more easily. I like to respect the privacy and respect every individual and I am a good team player. I hope to utilize these attributes and experiences for serving the community by pursuing a career in the nursing profession.

This university fits into my plans for my future because the university had the best facility and competent teachers to guide and give the best exposure to the students about the medical field. Entering the medical field has always been my dream for as long as I can remember. I became interested in this field at age seven. My intentions are to serve people and ill patients for their healthy and happy living. I also have the ambition to develop medicine. My interest in medicine grew a lot stronger. Studying medicine would give me the opportunity of solving different medical problems. This can improve my skills with mathematics even though making medicine requires a lot of hard work. I know my capabilities will prepare me to face challenges ahead of me. This motivated me to undertake this profession. Everything I hear and see about the medical field excites me.
