Process design of the Apple product

The Process design is always considered as the most significant task as it directly affects the product’s quality. This is definitely the company which provides the quality, durability and the designs all together in a single mobile phone. Refer the latest studies by research analysts, around 80% of the any kind of quality issues, come and are as a result of the production of the mobile phones in mass manner (Avlonitis and Indounas, 2004).

Design for manufacturing

The set of the phones of the Apple Company has always been demanded by the users on very big manner and the production of it is thus done on a mass scale. In the short design, it is the process that is concerned with the optimization and the adaptation of the design of Apple so as to reduce the cost, tenure of its manufacturing and the resources which are taken into use during the mass level production. Refer the remarks of some of the engineer’s it should be the most earliest of the engineering stage and no waiting whatsoever must be there.

Usefulness of design process

The main motive and goal of the design process is to make the products in the most economical as well as easy to form. The significance of the process design is such that around 70% of the manufacturing cost of the product is well determined by the process design and just 20% is associated with the production decision that include the planned planning and the machine tool for the production of it (Baram, 2007).

Reduction in total number of parts

After manufacturing of the basic model of the Apple mobile phones, the engineer then works for the making up of the optimized design which shall be made without doing any kind of major alteration which shall definitely not at all hamper the expectation of the clients and shall also make an advanced type of the mobile phones which shall make the money spend much happier with the worth he gets.

The product making and development process of the Company have always been very quality based plus is also very excellent which has been ever implemented. The Company, is the world’s first ever company to have earned a business of around 1 trillion dollars (Ehrenberg, 2011). The designers of the company continuously work for the betterment of their products and work day and night with full sincerity to make the company number one all around the industry.

Aim and objective of The Apple Product Design

The company has always worked with the motto to perform even better than the expectations of the clients, the company has always tried to do better than the best, it has left no stone unturned as far as the product quality is concerned.  The company’s design objective is always very functional/operational, aesthetics, accessible, very cost effective, secure, and durable (Gupta and Prinzinger, 2013). The company has tried always to provide a sense of satisfaction to the client after they buy its products. Some of the main objectives of the company as discussed as below:

Cost effective: Refer the help of the design process, the company is able to effectively reduce the cost of production and fit it as per the budget allocation at the start (Kristianto and Helo, 2010).

Accessible: The Design process shall enable the company to clearly consider the requirement of the clients.

Aesthetics: The design process shall definitely make an image of the brand in the eyes of the sports persons, plus provide a better physical appearance.

Functional/Operational: The spatial requirements and needs and durability of the building elements of the product can well be achieved with the help of the available product design.

Historic preservation: The motive of the increase of the features that work much better and are very helpful are required to be available in the version may also be acquired by the design process.

Secure/Safe: The product is required to fast assessing, secure as well as safe to handle, this objective is well kept in mind while the manufacturing of the same is done by the company.

Productive: the product feature which will help the human being a number of their works.

Sustainable: Building up of the elements and proper strategies which shall increase the performance in the environmental manner of the product (Heracleous, 2013).

Product designing Stages of Apple’s process

The Apple Company’s designers have always served as the most royal members where all kinds of the product design or any kind of the modification are done while keeping in mind the excellent version which the company has provided to the company in the past as well. Thus the design is not given to the manufacturing unit or the finance department, but is provided to the excellent working team which has been since long controlled by Jony Lve (Moore, Ellsworth and Kaufman, 2008). Here in this company the designers do not have any kind of contact with the finance department and refer the making up of the product, the budget is just unlimited.

New product process in Apple

After the design is prepared, then begins the new product. ANPP includes the steps which are involved in the development of the final designing process well in detail. It tells all of the development stages for the timely completion of the process of manufacturing (Noël, 2010). It takes the main decision about who shall work to design the product and by what time it shall get completed.

Reviewing the product on every Monday:

The companies board members meet on each Monday so as to review any kind of decision which has been taken regarding any kind of modification of the existing as well as the manufacturing of a new product of the company. The time of the review does not extent more than 2 weeks and prompt attention is taken on this aspect that the motive do not get disturbed by any of the ways (Klein and Jun, 2014).

Once the production completed, it is again designed and tested:

After the production of the product is completed, it is again re tested as well as re used first by the company’s engineers, to find out if any kind of lapse arises in the company. No draw backs whatsoever are allowed to be passed away to the clients. If any kind of mistake or shortcoming is experienced, then immediately the products are tested again and again (Nonala and Kenney, 2010).

The impact of performance objectives of the Apple design:

Competing with the complete environment is just as possible as far as the product design is concerned. The product design then leads to the company’s success as it by means of directly or indirectly examines all critical success impacts. In present times, the client’s requirement is very huge; they want the worth for the money spent. The decision of the clients also depends upon the price as well as the quality and facilities which are packed in that product. The product design also assists to succeed in the impacts of the performance objectives plus fulfils the clients’ satisfaction level (Kehagias, Skourtis and Vassilikopoulou, 2009). This report clearly concludes the process designing impact on the sale of the company’s products. The requirement of the clients is very high nowadays, and they always search for the best which is present in the open market of mobile phones, The company also has to compete with other big icons available in the market such as the Samsung and Nokia, but with the experience and overall reputation of its past products in the market, the company surely is able to beat the best as well. Though the other icons are also able to capture the market big share, but the share which the Apple has acquired is pretty hard for them to break and bring to their side (Nwogugu, 2014).
