Note: <\/strong>This task is identical to Recorded Presentation 1 in structure (see highlighted section below), but with a different focus, and it carries a weighting of 25% of the course grade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will undertake a case study analysis on the same case study company as you have been allocated for your final team assessment<\/strong> (to be allocated in WEEK 5<\/strong>), summarise your analysis, and present it to a risk-averse investor lacking in technical expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ASX 200 company you will be analysing for this assignment is Codan Ltd<\/strong> with ASX ticker CDA.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will need to follow these steps:<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FIRST \u2013 Complete a Macro Analysis of the company to be able complete the \u2018Control\u2019 Tab of the spreadsheet. This is needed to complete the \u2018Operations\u2019 Section.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Read and answer the following questions on ratio analysis and forecasting:
    1. Using the Microsoft Excel workbook provided, input\u00a0the data to reflect your company\u2019s results for a minimum of the last three years. Analyse and discuss the following:
      1. Profitability using a Modified DuPont analysis\u00a0as per the Excel workbook provided<\/li><\/ol>
        1. Sustainable growth rate for your company; and<\/li><\/ol>
          1. Cash flow analysis<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>\n

            1. Please note that Chapter 5 of the textbook has detailed lists of the different ratios available for different types of analysis. Please also read the instructions contained in the Excel workbook. It is necessary to provide an interpretation of the calculated ratios so that your audience has a clear understanding of the implications of these results on their investment decision making.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Undertake your analysis and record a 5-minute video presentation. \u2013 Just presentation needed.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            3. Your presentation must be appropriate for an ordinary risk-averse investor with limited knowledge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            4. Submit\u00a0the\u00a0PowerPoint slides, recorded presentation (mp4 format) and the\u00a0MS Excel workbook\u00a0<\/strong>via Gradebook.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              You are expected to submit the PowerPoint slides, recorded presentation together with the MS Excel file<\/strong> through the submission link. Penalty will be imposed on non submission of Excel workbook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              For this task, you will undertake a case study analysis on a company and present it to an ordinary, risk-averse investor. It carries a weighting of 15% of the course grade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                PowerPoint Slides<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                This PowerPoint is destined to be understood by an ordinary risk-averse investor. The language must be polite and formal, and avoid technical terms where possible. If such terms are included, they must be explained in formal but non-technical language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Your PowerPoint must be structured as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  \n
                1. Title page with your name, student number, case study number\/title.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                2. A minimum of FIVE SLIDES summarising the content you are speaking to in the recording.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                3. One additional reference slide with AT LEAST THREE relevant academic or other appropriate references, for example a government report or company information from ASX\/ASIC, using the\u00a0UniSA APA Referencing system.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  You may select your own design for the PowerPoint slides, but it must be formal and consistent with the marking guide criteria<\/p>\n\n\n
