I used to play shuffleboard game with my friends. The group used several jargon words which were associated with this game. The discs of different colors are pushed with a cue-stick in the designated areas. It is played by doubles which have two opposing players or teams. We tossed a coin to determine which team will toss the disc first. A flat plastic floor is used to roll the disc, which can be laid and be dismantled within thirty minutes. Synder, (238) connotes that a player is supposed to observe the field of view (FoV) before making a shoot.
The trey line guides the player on how far the disc should not fall from the shuffleboard as it is close to the edge. The scoring unit will help to make keep records of scores made during the game. It is a digital unit, which makes it unnecessary for players to record scores, as the unit record them on their behalf. The scores only count when the disc falls on the scoring zone. Riding the rail makes the opponent slides his or her disc and pucks others which increases the scores. The red numbers make a first-timer player have an equal chance to win as compared to those who are used to it. Commonly, this is referred to as handicap scoring.
The discs should only be rolled within the shuffleboard, which is the field for players (Jeon, p. 21). Light kits attached to the board provide sufficient lighting which improves the quality of the game. Hammer is the final push that is made to end the game.
