In order to create new ideas, the company searches the project for maximizing of the efficiency. The Gap Company calculates the environmental footprint through the detailed evaluation of the business operations that shall offer the information to prioritize the initiatives of the environment. The Company has done the partnering with external groups of environment like Ceres and NRDC to search innovative opportunities for the success. In general, the company has formed the complete approach to the environmental work concentrating on three regions where the Company might have the highest positive consequence: minimizing use of the energy, moving to sustainable fabrics and design and minimizing waste. During the implementation of the environmental strategy the Company has realized that the Company requires a better recognizing of the consequence so that the Company make throughout the operations of the Company. Being the employee, I have recommended the various solutions to the Company after taken into consideration the consequences of the particular action. For e.g. the implementation of the compliance and the ethics program which comprise the customer’s loyalty, minimized ethical meltdowns, enhanced worker productivity and loyalty and sales improvement. If the proper ethical program was implemented in the Company then it would helped me in solving of the situation like shall I tell about the unqualified report to the management or not (Nutt, 2004)
In order to solve the situation, I compared the shortcomings and advantages of the alternatives that were available to me. If I select the option and did not tell the matter to anyone in the Company then there was no any advantage for me but on the other side company might benefit in the situation if the account of the client is obtained exclusively. In this situation consequential theory applies because it describes the advantages and the disadvantages of the particular action. In this case, if I did not tell the situation to everyone then the impact on the Company would be at the better side and the Company would be able to acquire the client successfully (Singelton & Bologna, 2006)
The first stage of the assessment of the environmental footprint concentrates on the facilities and regions where the Company may monitor the operations and create the changes easily. It comprises 11 buildings, 5 studios, 7 distribution campuses & approximately 2800 stores in the fleet of North America.
