It has been found that clear float glasses are normally colourless when used for commercial purposes but a greenish tint comes when they are glazed to make them impact resistant. This greenish tint can be avoided by reducing the iron content in the glazed material. Usually heat treated glasses show both transmitted and reflected optical distortion in the safety glass along with some strain patterns which appear as spots and shadows when we see the glass for different angles.
Before inculcating glass products in the buildings the architects should consider other options too with regard to safety, design as it is easier to build a beautiful building without glass products too.
