Project Proposal:565761

Question:

Discuss about the Project Proposal for Management?

Answer:

Introduction: (humankinetics, 2017), (wcastl, 2017) & (inspiriamedia, 2016)

Hobsons Bay City Council is involved in developing many play grounds and even few stadiums in Australia. It has many existing play grounds and is planning to build a new sports pavilion at Altona North (hobsonsbay, 2017).

During earlier days, all sports were being played on open ground. But due to increase in precision and demand of sports has raised the demand (Curbed, 2017) & (Worldstadiums, 2017). So the need for stadium building is vey a profitable business too. Few reasons to build stadium are:

Building the stadium creates opportunity for development of society

New spending for the construction of stadium increases circulation of currency in local market. It creates new opportunity of investment and help in expanding nearby business.

The group involved draws in voyagers and organizations to the host city

Increases local employment and improves social status of locals and cause new employment creator.

Discussion:

Assumptions: (Chinaculturetour, 2015) & (Securityinfowatch, 2003)

For developing the project schedule, few items we need to assume like:

The drawing provided with the tender shall not go under huge revision of scope of work.

Resources assumed shall be present throughout the project life cycle; any change in availability status may impact the project budget

Work Breakdown Structure of Stadium Construction:

High Level WBS is developed to capture the whole development activities. Level wise WBS is shown below for better understanding of scope of work.

Level 1:

WBS Task Name
1 Hobsons Bay Stadium Project

Level 2:

WBS Task Name
1 Hobsons Bay Stadium Project
1.1    Initiation
1.2    Project Management
1.3    Execution
1.4    Closing

Further WBS being divided in Level 3 (refer appendix A), 4 (refer Appendix B) is developed exclusively to further divide level 3 of Execution & the construction of level 4 in sub divided to Level 5 (refer Appendix C).

Gantt chart:

After detailing of WBS, the activities are punched exactly under each WBS to get bottom-up estimation of time. Below is the Gantt chart of Critical Path Method. Detailed

pic1

CPM with dates of all activities is mentioned in Appendix D.

Budgeting: Budget shall also be developed on WBS level wise. Also in future while tracking of expenses, the cost shall also be booked under that particular WBS to calculate the projects and track against baseline too.

High level Budget is:

Task Name Duration Start Finish Budget

(in AUD)

Hobsons Bay Stadium Project 320 days Fri 5/12/17 Thu 8/2/18 560,000
   Initiation 20 days Fri 5/12/17 Thu 6/8/17 11,200
   Project Management 30 days Fri 6/9/17 Thu 7/20/17 39,200
   Execution 260 days Fri 6/23/17 Thu 6/21/18 504,000
   Closing 30 days Fri 6/22/18 Thu 8/2/18 5,600

If we again further go down to further level and the entire detailed budget sheet is attached in Appendix E.

Now, by distributing the budget on calendar as per the schedule will develop a cash flow curve or the budgeted expenditure plan. This shall be as under:

Conclusion: (Stadiummouse, 2017), (Collegefootballtalk, 2014) & (Thesportseconomist, 2008)

With all this above study we can conclude that the stadium project can be an economically profitable to the sponsor along with the growth of society too. It is highly beneficial for the society by generating huge permanent job demand, increase motivation for local players, good entertainment business than silly television programs and also keep health right.

There is no age bar for using the facility. So, the return on investment can be easily obtained by organizing local and national level sports.
