Introduction

Korean culture is known for its uniqueness and its diversity .But now it has been affected by various outside forces and influences, which are affecting its culture and diversity. Foreign culture has a great impact on its culture a most of the population has been affected by it.korean culture has been greatly influenced by outside cultures, majorly of foreign origin.

Korean culture is somehow related to outside culture although most of them have been now koreanised, there was a major religion change also but now it ahs been changed a lot due to great impact of Korean culture, as people slowly moulded to this new culture which is very strong colourful and affected people a lot. Koreans say that they have a culture of survival wherein they have fought that various invasions from other culture. Many companies and mink’s come to Korean in order to expand themselves and the result is there is alteration of the culture as they try to alter it according to their own country culture and views.korea ha their own laws, legal considerations which they want to be followed by the other nations, but most of them it is not followed which ultimately results in the culture invasion.

But Koreans now think that their are many changes which ahs to implemented and flowed by all so that there is proper culture diversity retained in korea. It has been closely observed that the Korean society is going through a close transformation, in fact in the overall structure of the culture of Korea. The most recent extant studies on Korean communication were carried out in the 1990’s (Park & Kim, 1992).This study shows that the Korean culture has been greatly influenced by western culture, and it also compare the communications practices in USA and Korea.

History

Korean culture has been greatly influenced by the Chinese culture’s his we can judge by the impact of Chinese le tatters used in the general everyday speaking of the Koreans.Eventhough people used Korean  language for their everyday speaking, they always used the Chinese language for their writing ,this shows that Koreans were very much influenced by the Chinese culture. This shows that professional, social, academic life was influenced by the Chinese culture, thus Korean culture was invaded by Chinese and nothing was done. Korean culture is very unique in terms that they had a different mode of expression. the way they expressed their ides ,views was very different and people always misunderstood it, as it was very subtule, flat and rough.Thsi often lead to arbitrary conflict, argues, misinterpretations. They were very straight forward in expressing their thoughts which was sometimes not liked by many people and they found it rude. And this has been understood as the main source of misinterpretation by various people .Koreans usually use as lot of homonyms which means they have a same sound when spoken, sometimes it difficult for the Koreans for themselves to judge what they spoken, some word had the same spelling, same sound which made Koreans language little bit confiding also, and this was one of the reason that people started following the Chinese language. This means they themselves undervalue their language, culture, and started following different culture.

But this situation changed dramatically, at the start of modern history. The institutions of learning were replaced by the foreign culture, and imported culture. Foreign investors complain that Koreans were not precise in following the normal norms; rule stat should be followed in contracts, deals, and business transactions. The ideas were very vague and not clear and this was very reason Koreans was invaded by foreign culture, and foreigners wanted to change their culture according to them. Koreans never wanted to have their business deals in writing which shows the unprocessed of doing things because they wanted to keep thing as simple as possible. This created a lot of problems, which was tried to be minimised by the foreigners by careful planning, drafting and following a careful strategy for following the clear cut steps for each process, deals and contracts.

Impact of communication and culture on business practices

There is always a grit culture, communication gap between the Koreans, and the foreign. Business man finds it very to express their idea and views. The Koreans could not understand the basic ideas of business being communicated to them by the foreign business investors and foreign business cloud not understand the Koreans which was big pitfall. It is very difficult and stressful situation for Koreans to communicate with ether foreigners. It was one of the most stressful situations. This was very obvious that there is going to be misinterapreations, wrong judgment from either side. Which may result in total failure of the business? Koreans never wanted that their ideas, discusiions should be jotted down in paer. They could not understand the reference of this in careful palning. They couldn’t understand that this would make their work easy, easy to follow upland when foreigners it they thought that they are try to making their work comaplicated, which sometimes led to conflict. On the other hand their was subtle language of Koreans which was very straightforward, and foreign investors thought that Koreans could not express their ideas and were not good in making business deals. Again a negative impact due to their subtle culture.

This sometimes also gave a feeling of insecurity to the foreign investors who thought that Koreans were not trustworthy and for this reason they did not wanted to get the deals in papers.wheres there was no such intentions of the Koreans, they just wanted to keep thins as short as possible, as simple as it is reqired.Thsi sometimes affected a lot the business deals which would have been fruitful and world have brought lot of foreign currency to the country.

The need for foreign interests to understand the local business culture, including East Asia’s “saving face” culture when they conduct business in Korea, China, Japan, and Hong Kong is well recognized. (Executive planet, 2002).

Economic Importance of Korean culture

In 1998, Korea was suffering from a huge economic crisis and recession due to the negative impact of Korean War, but as soon as they get out of the war and all, they started to grow effectively and the growth started since 1999. Internet and commercialization has affected a lot the Korean culture and people are trying to adapt these latest technologies in their culture. This can ultimately lead to their growth. Internet has showed to them what are the changes they can bring about in their culture what they do and how they do to adapt to such changes.Koraens are trying to bring change in their economic culture.

Conclusion

Korean culture is one of the well known and unique cultures in the globe. They are one of the most ethnically homogeneous societies in the globe and they add distinct feature to the world in terms of culture, communication, society, political and legal aspects.

They have a global reach and interdependence for their better growth and development. They are not very much developed by their skills but they are very much successful by their way of negotiation and cultural context. Korea has shown its different kind of attitude while doing business with the other countries. They have a different kind of negotiation skills that helps them to grow and attract new clients in a global market. They are changing their context like they are adapting to the new dimensions such as internet, e-commerce, ICT and other technological aspects but they are very much constant with their cultural aspects. They are not compromising with their unique culture and context. So for the outsiders or the business clients it is very much essential to understand their culture and to make an effective interdependence between their cultural contexts.

Still Korean have not developed the negotiation skills require dot do businesses. They are following their culture, and fail to follow those culture practices which may be helpful to them. Koreans shod try to understand that culture invasions is not always harmful nod if they let these cultures to be imbibes in their customs, it may lead to formation of new culture which would let the businesses in their entry to grow larger. But still nothing is nothing to such large extends and Korea remains Korea with its unique culture and diversity. Business which has already been established or countries who have understood the Korean culture find it very impressive place to grow themselves.Korae has attracted many international ventures and have got many opportunities and offers. Korea had a ICT revolution which changed a lot the economic condition of korea.Although Korea faces lot of difficult and stressful situations it ahs imbibed all the conditions and is facing the difficulties with open arms. Its not that have completely neglected the fact that there is need to change very thing they are preparing by following the global trends have changed a lot now. They have found a new path to success by way of transition and integrating themselves to the growing global changes
