Description of Ministry Placement
St Peter’s Church is popular church, which is located at Shropshire country in the West Midlands of England. The church was established in the year 1969. Parliament of England has approved this church. The church has over 345 buildings that attract almost 2 million visitors in one year. The dedicated staffs of the church continuously involved in improving the life of the community through providing support and sympathy to them. The name of the pastor of this Church is (Pastor’s Name). It is core responsibility of the pastor to lead the worship services of the church. The pastor is also responsible for counseling the members and visitors of the church. With an in-depth knowledge of The Bible, the pastors will face the challenge of leading the people to follow the biblical doctrines.
Week 1, September 2015
This week, I was responsible for the worship service at my church. I saw that everyday approximately 150 people come to church for praying to the God. I also attended the worship service at the church. This worship service was about praise, worship, testimonies and sermon. The bishop of the church spoke about the topic of ‘Christian Disciples’. At this worship service, many visitors shared their testimonies about the help of God in their life. One person said that he had become able to solve his family problems through the worship of God. Another person said that he had got his job with the blessing of the God. At the end of the worship service, I prayed for all the persons who attended this service.
Week 2, September 2015
In this week, I was responsible for the evening prayer of my church. I found that visitors poorly attended the session of prayer.. One day of this week, a person came to me and shared about the problem of his temptation. I discussed with him about a passage from The Bible, chapter of James 1: 13-15. I taught him that sin does not come from God. I made him understand that temptation does not lead to sin. Sin comes when someone yields to the temptation. After the teaching session, the person learned about how to struggle with the temptation. This entry will be included in the “Journal of Ministerial Development”.
Week 3, September 2015
In this week, I attended a seminar in my church. The bishops and other pastors were engaged in discussing the topic of ‘Spiritual Gift’ of God. Over 300 visitors attended this seminar and they listened to this topic very attentively. The bishops spoke about The Bible chapter ‘1 Corinthians 12 and Romans 8’. I also discussed on this topic for some days of this week. I discussed that Spiritual Gifts are the gift from the God like gift of knowledge, gift of faith, gift of healing and gift of respect. The bishops and other pastors also talked about the empowerment of the human life through Spiritual Gift of God.
Week 4, September 2015
This week, I was responsible for leading the meeting of Bible study at my church. The meeting was arranged for everyday of this week during the evening time. The bishop of the church asked me to read The Bible. The Bible texts that I had chosen were ‘1 Corinthians 13 and John 13’. In these texts, the topic was ‘Christian Love and Church Unity’. I was able to make several deliberations on the discussion of The Bible Study. The discussions disclosed the facts about the importance of love and unity to develop the quality of human life. After completion of the meeting, many people came to me and shared the problem of their life.
Week 1, October 2015
I attended the group discussion activities with the bishops and some visitors of my church. In this group discussion, we discussed about Matthew 6:12-15, Luke 6:37. The topic that we were concerned about was forgiveness. I specifically raised the tendency of young generation regarding their attitude of not forgiving others for a mistake. I made the visitors understand that forgiveness is the best way to live a victorious life. This entry will be included in the “Journal of Ministerial Development”.
Week 2, October 2015
In this week, a workshop was arranged in our church where an evangelism team was assigned to visit every house in the local area. The concern of this workshop was to collect the various beliefs and views of the people about their own religion. I was the leader of this evangelism team and supported the team in spreading the information about the Christianity to the people. It was an effective way to convert the people of the UK to Christianity. This entry will be included in the “Journal of Ministerial Development”.
Week 3, October 2015
I attended the learning session at my church in this week. I gave various lectures on different topics of human behavior. In this learning session, the topic that was chosen was controlling of tongue. The Bible often talks about the destructive power of tongue. My focus in this learning session was to focus on the aggressive manners of the young generation. The tongue can pour out blessings and curses. I told the people the way of using the tongue in spreading good relationship with others.
Week 4, October 2015
This week all the priests and archbishops arranged a seminar in my church. Around 200 people attended this seminar for gaining an in depth knowledge of The Bible. I was responsible to give lecture on one topic of The Bible study. The topic that I selected in this seminar was ‘holiness in human life’. I discussed a chapter from the books of Isaiah 59:2 and Exodus 19:5-6, which were specifically written for valuing holiness in life. Holiness is the gift of God’s grace. I helped the people to understand that if they follow holiness in their lives, they would be able to become the folk of God.
Week 1, November 2015
In this week, I was again responsible for the worship service of my church. This service was to be held for 3 hours every day at afternoon. About 100 people attended this worship service in the church at a regular basis. I saw that the intensity of worship among the people was being uplifted. In this worship service, a sermon was preached by the bishop, which was a deep and long sermon. At the end of this long preaching, people felt it somewhat tedious as it was too long. Week 2, November 2015
In the mid of this week, two persons came to me and shared their problem with me. The problem that they discussed with me was about loneliness in their lives. I helped them to get rid of this problem through an explanation of passage from Deuteronomy 31:8. I had shown them sympathy by saying that God is always with us and he never lets us alone. After the discussion, the people learned about how to live life happily inspite of being alone.
Week 3, November 2015
In this week, I was responsible to lead the church prayer meeting at the evenings in my church. This meeting lasted everyday for 3 hours in this week. I saw that some people participated fully in the prayer and it was a worthwhile time. However, I also watched that some people poorly attended the prayer. In this context, I started to lead the visitors by reading from The Bible and preaching on Jesus and a verse from the Gospel of Luke chapter 18. It was about keeping persistence while praying to God. After the Bible reading, I started to discuss over the several topics related to prayer. I wanted everyone to be involved in the prayer and therefore, I sometimes assigned the leadership of prayer over some people. This entry will be included in the “Journal of Ministerial Development”.
Week 4, November 2015
In this week, I met with some people who came to our church for confessing their sins, which they committed through aggressively behaving with the people. They wanted to change their life style and concentrate on transforming themselves with the power of prayer. The people came twice this week regarding their problem. In the first day, I continued my homily from Deuteronomy 5:1. I spoke about the importance of listening to the word of God. In the second day, I taught them about the way of living life in a gentle way by listening quickly and speaking slowly.
Week 1, December 2015
Two couples came to me in my church to discuss about the problems they were having in their marital lives. I spent 2 hours with them and they found this meeting very helpful for their marital life. I also spent time on studying the relationship of men and women, which they should have towards one another. They listened to my discussions with great concentration and agreed to behave with each other according to my advice.
Week 2, December 2015
In this week, I was again assigned with responsibility of leading the evangelism team. We visited those houses in the local areas that we had visited once in the month of October. We found that many of the people, who were not professing the Christian religion in the month of October, had now converted to Christianity. . We have appreciated their acceptance over their belief in the Christian religion. I personally met the newly converted Christian people and gave them a welcoming note in our church for praying to the God.
Week 3, December 2015
I attended one seminar in this week, where many priests and people kept their views over the topic of ‘justice’. I kept my lecture on The Bible from the book of Deuteronomy, chapter 32:4-5, which was about God’s fairness in dealing with the human beings. The learning of the discussion was that people should be just in treating others. It was an effective seminar where people learned about the results of a sinful behavior.
Week 4, December 2015
One couple came to me, whom I had met previously in first week of December. They shared that they were happily living their marital life. They thanked me for the speech that I had once given to them for solving their difficulties in their marital life. I also appreciated them for taking my words so seriously and using them in solving their problems. After the meeting with the couple, I prayed to God about the happy marital relation throughout their whole life.
Week 1, January 2016
In this week, I attended the worship service in my church where about 200 people came for prayer.. The bishop of my church told me to study the Bible topics in front of the visitors of the church. I selected the Biblical of ‘Kindness’ that is mentioned in the passage from Luke 6:35. I told the people about the importance of genuine kindness in their life. Some people asked me about how to treat people who mistreat them. I suggested the instructions of God, which defines to be kind to the people and ensured that God would definitely repay them for their kindness.
Week 2, January 2016
One day, one woman came to me with her son who was suffering depression in his life. The mother told me that her boy had tried to commit suicide for not getting a good job in his life. She was very upset about the behavior of her son. I gave the boy courage about having faith in God. I assured the boy that if one prays to God from the core of his heart, God would definitely answer his prayers. My speech had effectively enhanced the courage of the boy and he promised me to try hard for getting the job by keeping strong faith on God.
Week 3, January 2016
In this week, I attended a midweek meeting of Bible study. The Nun of my church told me to share an interesting topic of Bible study so that people can learn something more about the Christian religion. I chose the topic of ‘Honesty’ in the meeting. I taught the people that truth and honesty are more appreciated than any kind of flattery by the people. God expects and deserves honesty and he provides gifts to the people for being honest by way of an improved life. At the end of the meeting, many people came to me and confessed their dishonesty by promising to be honest in future in their life.
Week 4, January 2016
A development program was arranged in this week in my church, which was about developing the life of community. The bishops of my church asked me to give an innovative idea about developing the life of the people in the community. I suggested the way of empowering the life of women in the community. I previously attended a meeting of women fellowship and from their got to know that, it is very necessary to empower the women in the community. I suggested a women conference to be held in our church, which will be held in mid February. This entry will be included in the “Journal of Ministerial Development”.
Week 1, February 2016
Some people came to me and asked me about the reason of sharing the sins to the priests of the church. I gave them a warm welcome to our church and discussed with them about the importance of confession in front of God. I told them that confession prepares the way of forgiveness. I spoke that if we confess our sins truly to God, he would definitely forgive us and protect us from all unrighteousness. The people were happily convinced with my speech and confessed their sins to me. After the meeting, I prayed for the people who confessed their sins..
Week 2 February 2016
I attended a community program, which was organized by our church for sharing the knowledge of Christianity among the people. In this community program, I spoke about the importance of attending the church on a regular basis. I advised the people that they should enter to the gates of God with thanksgiving and pray to God for providing peace in their lives. I suggested the people that if they attend the church regularly, God would support them in every aspects of their life. The community program was very effective as many people came to me to know more about Christianity at the end of the program.

In week four of January, I came to know about the problems that women are facing in their lifestyle and therefore in this week I suggested the women to put forward themselves in the society with honesty and freedom. In this week, I arranged women empowerment through several educational programs free of cost. This will include female leaders and practical sessions that will encourage the female image empowerment in the society. This entry will be included in the “Journal of Ministerial Development”.
Week 4 February 2016
The event selected in this week was “discipline”. This was a seminar-based event and therefore advised the citizens regarding discipline orientation. It is in the Bible where a true son means the one who will behave properly and bestow himself with an indication of love. I gave a speech regarding harvest of righteousness and peace that will be only achieved by true discipline in the life.
Week 1 March 2016
In this week, I arranged a session of “Faults”. Throughout my life I have seen that people forget to express themselves and therefore indulge in finding faults in others. I explained to the people that if faults are not rectified within oneself, then they will never find a place in humanity and finally in God. Therefore, I explained the importance of mercy and patience; being humble and gentle; and obeying Lord’s command so that they have peace in their life.
