Background
Eyunnews Company is a Brisbug based Survey company that specializes in assisting non-profit organization to increase their membership. On February 22, the manger of Eyunnews Company, Mr Yaroub Alredainy conducted a meeting with the president at the Queensland Brisbug Group (QBG). Mr Keith Catts, in order to discuss how (QBG) can increase its membership with international student. On completion of the meeting Eyunnews Company agreed to examine this request and forward to (QBC) a report including major recommendations this is be submitted on 8 May 2009. . Objectives
The main purpose of this report is to find how BPG could increase their membership. Also, it is expected that international student could a chive their aim of improving their English skills by interacting with local resident.
Methods
Eyunnews Company designed a ten-question survey which included one open question and nine closed questions consisting of scale, rank-order, dichotomous, and multiple choice items. A convenience method was used to hand out it to twenty information technology QUTIC students. The distribution time will be in the launch break in P block, Kelvin Grove campus. After that, the questionnaires were collected and the data was analyzed. The results were types on an Excel spreadsheet and shown in variety of figures and tables.
1. 5 Scope
In this report there are 20 students were surveyed and this report based on primary data and secondary research. However, some data was not included because answers were not completed correctly. Because of the limitation of time and budget of this report, the researcher could only prepare 10 questions and distributed them to only 20 respondents. However, the survey can show some suggestion and recommendations.
Discussion
figure 1 illustrates that 19 of 20 who were surveyed of the students at QUTIC are interesting in PCs and 1 of the students who were surveyed was uninteresting in PCs.Also it can be seen that most of the respondents with 95% who answered ‘Yes’ and 5% who answered ‘No’.
Conclusion
From these results it seems that the majority of the respondents are interesting in PCs. These results could be because most of the students know that the PCs are the generation language .According to Setzer (2000) “computers make it possible for students to access all sorts of information” .Also they like to learn how to communicate with the world.
As can be seen in figure2, that 90% (18 students) of the participants from QUTIC, they never hear any information about Brisbug PC Group .However, there is small percentage who knows some information about Brisbug PC Group which is 10 % (2 students) Conclusion
It can be concluded that students do not know about the Brisbug PC Group because of the lack of the advertisement that has been given to the QUTIC student. According Prida (2008) “advertisement mode of communication designed with the attempt to convince people to begin or increase the use of a product or service.”.Also they never read or receive any brochures or emails that telling the QUTIC students what is Brisbug PC Group.
