This journal article talks about the security that every management information system should have. If a customer is willing to make payment via MIS then the MIS should have lots of security. The security of the MIS should be such that the details of their credit or debit card shouldn’t be revealed to anybody and this will allow the customers to make payments without any stress. Computer security also plays a very important role. The computer which has MIS shouldn’t be accessible to all and hence, access control is a must. Apart from that, the data which is stored should be secured so that no employee of the organization is able to transfer it from one computer to that of another. Hackers will try their level best to get access to an organization’s network and hence, the organization should install Firewall and VPN gateway so that the data of the organization doesn’t go into the hands of the wrong person. The virus can also harm or delete the complete data which is present in the MIS and it is always better to have a proper security rather than that of looking for some or other method that will help them to retrieve the data.
