Point of sale system is basically a place where a customer is responsible for executing the payment for the goods or services they want. This service offers either in person or online on the basis of the system adopted by the retail industry. According to the author Abbasi (2018), it has been observed that there are certain challenges that are faced by the retailers while managing the transaction process. The major challenges that are faced include security challenges, compatibility issues, software problems, inefficiency in cost and inaccurate reporting system. Point of sale is basically a payment system that is used by retailers for the purpose of managing their business process more efficient. However at present retail industry tends to face huge challenges with the use of point of sale system. As a result the focus is to design a new approach that will be capable of offering high efficiency towards the system. The data are handled and maintained within the system with the objective to offer better support. These proposed systems will lead to bring web-based solution for better enhancement. Point of sale needs to be managed properly so that it becomes easy to organize the data attributes. The necessary elements must be organized so that the transaction process can be handled easily. The transaction must be carried out without involving much efficiency. The point of sale does not offer proper way of managing the data analyses and hence it can be stated that the current system needs to be enhanced with proper implementation of a system. The need to have a better detailed system is much needed in the first pacing world so that it becomes easy to deal with all necessary resources.

According to the researchers the point of sale has gained huge importance in the market and has become increasingly popular among the merchants. The point of sale needs to be managed properly so that all data must be organized properly. Hence the use of this system has been increased in the past few decades (Kosse et al. 2017). However with the high inefficiency within the system it has been observed that the chances of fraud cases and errors at the time of transaction have also increased. The use of POS in retail industry has led to causing wide challenges that has been identified by several researchers in their articles. The common problem that a retailer tends to face with the use of point of sale system includes the security issues and inefficiency. This is very crucial for every retailer to ensure that the information regarding the customer’s Credit card and bank transactions are being protected against every possible hacker. However due to lack of a proper security it has been observed that the disclosure towards the hackers has enhanced highly (Zamba et al. 2018). POS system needs to be protected against all possible threats so that it becomes easy to ensure that high reliability has been maintained within the system.

According to the author Mangmang (2018), a new point of sale solution is very much essential for the retail business as the current point of sale system does not offer is a high compatibility. It becomes very difficult to manage the employee’s functions and hence it becomes highly inefficient. According to several researches it has been observed that most retailers focus on operating on stricter budget for carrying out their business functionality. In certain cases it tends to impact the quality of the software. It can be stated that due to considering the cost effectiveness factor it becomes very difficult for retailers to manage their overall budget. Connectivity has also been considered as one of the most challenging issues associated with the point of sale system (Moon, Kim and Ham 2014). It has been observed that without a solid Wi-Fi network it becomes very difficult for the retail industry to manage point of sale to carry out online transactions. These have led to causing several issues and have also hampered the way transaction has been processed. As a result there is a need to establish a new process that will be capable of offering better efficiency in terms of managing the data.

According to researchers point of sale system provides relevant report towards the management team so that they can make profitable decisions. Hence it can be stated that there is a need to design an enhanced version of a POS system so that all the tracking can be carried out efficiently. After analyzing the different factors associated with the POS system it can be stated that the needed to develop a new solution is very much crucial (Raza and Kilbourn, 2017). The approach is to develop a web based payment system that will be capable of meeting the need of the current system. In order to successfully design these approach the focus will be on developing proper platform for payments, developing a web based-transaction system and performing module integration. With the help of this component it will become easy to bring better efficiency. The main reason behind designing web-based solution is that it is expected that a web-based solution will be capable of offering excellent support towards the retail industry. These web based system will be capable of managing the transaction process efficiently and will also ensure that the connectivity and chances of fraud cases has been reduced. Hence it can be stated that are than needed to design better web-based solution is very much crucial for the retail industry. The retail industry should focus on implementing this web-based solution for the purpose of ensuring that higher efficiency has been obtained within the business functions (Tsai et al. 2019). The failure must be handled so that the chances of traffic are between the sales transaction is maintained officially. It can be stated that the project aim is to enhance the quality of the system by integrating all necessary elements. It can be stated that the proposed solution has the potential to bring higher efficiency and enhancement within the business functioning. However the need to develop the system is very much crucial as higher quality will lead to bringing a higher advantage towards the business operations.
