Part 2:

Edgar Schein is a very famous professor who was an expert in the subject of organisation management. According to Edgar Schein there are some important traits that must be possessed by a person so that the person becomes employable. A very popular theory was presented by him on the organisation culture. As per the Edgar Schein formation of a team is done due to some functional and psychological reason (Sawan, Jeon and Chen 2018). To identify these reasons Edgar Schein proposed a model of organisational culture. According to Edgar Schein, the reasons were associated with three important aspects which are artifacts, values and basic assumptions. In this case the psychological reasons are defined by the psychological contract. According to Edgar Schein there is a psychological contract between the employees and their employer. The psychological contract is a set of undocumented expectation among the employees and their organisation. If the expectations match then there will be harmony. In the other case if the expectations mismatch then there will be definitely some problems. Following that the main functional reasons include achieving any particular aim. Within the organisational culture a team is always formed to achieve any target or any aim and that is the basic functional requirement behind developing any team (Cole and Martin 2018). So, in this case also it is defined by Edgar Schein and the main functional reason for forming a team is achieving the organisational goal. Edgar Schein has always seen the organisational culture as a dominant force for any type of organisation. According to Edgar Schein the organisational culture is a pattern of shared assumptions about how one person is related with another person in the organisation. This also defines the balance of task focus with fulfilment and growth. This also affects the behaviour of the employees which play a big role in the formation of any team in the organisation from both functional and psychological aspects.
