The study was done based on the usage and utilities of IS/IT in an organization and how it organization restructuring helps in adaptation and development of IS/IT within an organization. Various interviews and research methodologies being developed and carried on to gather data and analyse the data and information gathered. Various aspects were disclosed regarding the usage and utilities of IS/IT within an organization. It also gives us the reference about the necessities of learning about the technologies and its immense use within an organization at the present scenario.
Soft System Methodologies
If a system is not very much innovated and concerned about the internal and external environment and happenings then it is obvious that the organization will not be able to sustain its position for a long period of time. Here the main theme of the study is to look about the issues and situation of an ill organization, and find out the remedies that may help the organization by going through restructuring, development of new roles and responsibilities of the managers and employees and other aspects (Winklhofer, 2002).
Soft System Methodology is a framework to understand the need and requirement of the IS/IT and to find out the issues with the organization, to work upon those issues and finally to find the perfect solution for those issue to make the organization competitive and sustainable for long run.
The SSM is an integrated tool to understand the need of change and restructuring within the organization and to make perfect remedies of the issues and inefficiencies which may be happening in the organization.
Assumptions and Research
The research is always done based on some assumptions, here in this case we can see the strong assumption which the author has taken into consideration while conducting the research related with the SSM and IS framework and its utility within the organization. We can see the kind of restructuring which is happening in GBR, although the organization was able to understand the need and utility of the SSM framework for their betterment. So it is not easy for the people to understand and implement the framework without making a huge determination.
Winklhofer (2002) mentioned that the GBR mission statement had a great role in the development and implementation of the SSM framework in the organization and helped a lot in the effective implementation of the SSM framework within the organization while going through the restructuring.
The research was carries out with AIM and GBR people including staffs, managers, and supervisors. Almost 60 people were gone through the scheduled interview with the consultants and were analysed in terms of various aspects of IS/IT. They were asked and judges in various parameters to understand the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization and its employees. The research was carries out throughout the organization including various departments and team players to make an effective result and finding about the reality of the organization, that where exactly the organization and their staff stand.
Findings and Result
If we talk about the result and findings of the analysis, then it was quite shocking and embarrassing, even most of the managers did not know the use of information system and information technology in the organization. They did not even know the use of MIS sheet and the kind of reporting system they should follow. So it was the main reason for the illness of the organization, the organization efficiency depends upon the kind of work structure, roles and responsibility the employees are handling and using. Here in AIM and GBR the structure of handling of IS was just pathetic and the whole employees group were requiring the training for the learning of the usage and utility of the IS and IT in the organization.
Although the implementation of the SSM framework is going through in the GBR and it seems that the people of GBR are taking interest in the learning and understanding of the SSM framework adaptation and working with this system.

The research clearly identified the efforts of author in terms of creating the value of IT/IS and an integrated system for the betterment of the organization and that could help the organization to achieve its goal and vision. Here the most common fault which is easily visible is the lack of knowledge about the usage of the IT and IS among the management people. They were not very much trained and updated with the usage and effectiveness of the EIS and SSM. This indicates the lack of alertness and innovation which must be there among the managers and the senior employees, so they could utilize this knowledge to make other people learn.
But the research results were very much effective and eye opening for the managers of GBR and AIM, they were now showing their alertness and effectiveness to learn about the usage and utility of the SSM and IS/IT for the betterment of the organization. This was a good sign for both of the organization that their managers and other employees could realize the fact of IS/IT and the SSM methodologies for the effectiveness of the organization.
So it was a great justification of author that he could make the things easier for the managers to understand and utilize it.
Concept of SSM and IS/IT discipline
According to Winklhofer (2002), the immense change can easily be seen in the information system framework and model that is being adopted by the organizations. The organizations are adopting new technologies and information framework to achieve new dimensions and goals. To communicate among the employees and management, to perform the quality work, to report effectively and efficiently, in each and every aspect the technology is required and new information system and design is required, the organizations have understood the role of information system and SSM framework for the betterment of the organization.
Here in this study, the managers of GMR and AIM have already started adopting the new dimensions of the information system and SSM framework to make themselves competitive and efficient while transferring of information and communication sharing among the employees.
