Walgreens: Their objective also meets the SMART guidelines due to presence of defined productivity gains by 20% and within a defined time limit. As per their growth and capability the objective is viable and can be achieved.

UPS: Objective is not very much clear and defined due to absence of timeline in their objective. They are also not very much clear about their profitability in their business areas.

Curious: He/she should be curious towards their doings that will help in gaining maximum advantage from their input.

Collaborative: An entrepreneur should be collaborative and should always be indulged in the team performance.

Action oriented: Action reflects the performance. Action orientation is very much required for a successful entrepreneur. They should always be devoted towards their action and should have a proper review and feedback of their actions taken over any task. If the action taken is up to the mark then there is no need to bother about the result.

Self motivated: He/she should be self motivated towards the objective of the business and life. They should show a mirror of self motivation for their team members.

Self-fulfilled: Self concerned and self destined are again the personality characteristic of an entrepreneur.

Two characteristics which are most likely to the all job searchers are:

In order to apply for various job opportunities in the market I applied for various jobs and appeared in different types of interview, like structured interview, UN Structured interview, video conefrincing, Psychometric tests, online tests

Structured interview has more advantage compared to the unstructured interview. That makes the structured interview more specific and considerable while conducting an integrated interview and research. Few important characteristics are as follows:

  1. Focused on closed ended questions with limited number of response: Structured interview is more specific and focused towards the response of the candidate. To estimate or record a focused and specific response, structured interview is more focused toward closed ended questions.
  2. Clear topical focus: In structured interview the focus is towards the topic on which we need to get the response of the candidate.
  3. Effective and efficient: Structured interview is more effective and efficient due to its focused concerns.
  4. Unbiased response and results: Structured interview always provide and unbiased response and behavior due to its focused concern towards the subject and response.

These characteristics give a great advantage to the structured interview compared to the unstructured interview. These aspects of structured interview make it more significant and specific which was absent in the unstructured interview. To avoid these issues related with the unstructured interview and its unspecific response most of the times, interviewer has started using structured interview to make a focused and effective response of the candidate.

There are various pros and cons associated with different types of interviewing process

  1. Interview: Short interview helps to know the ability and skills in the candidate. Interview will be helpful in judging the skills and general ability of the candidates in an effective manner. This way interviewers get to know that the candidate are being judged in an effective manner by the general ability test which was taken earlier while hiring of the candidates.
  2. Screening test: Interviewers can also take the short screening test to quickly judge the candidates as per the criteria of the hiring process and skills required as per the eligibility and the requirement criteria. If the candidates are able to crack the screening test again that will show that they have been hired with the validity of their test scores which was taken earlier by the hiring team.

These aspects can be considered while making an investigation for judging the validity of the general ability test while going through the hiring process.

CONCLUSION

Goal is defined as a terminal point in a long run. This means the goal is always set for a long term aspects because it needs a lot of strategic planning and the concentration to reach to that particular goal. We should make our goal in a long term aspects because that will give us a long term and integrated benefit rather than looking for a short run we should always try to take part in a long run. In the meanwhile we will surely achieve the short term goal which comes to the path of long term goal achievement (Kroll & Wilson, 1970). I can take an example of myself, as when I was undergraduate, I had made all my goals that what I have to do and where I have to do job and all. That was my long term goal and I made a strategy to achieve that long term goal that again helped me to crack the short term goals i.e. the college ranking and interview and all. This way I could get a long term benefit considering with the short term. But here the long term goal was the most important and it played a vital role to achieve the goal in an effective manner. After setting up the goal we need to make strategies and then the time comes for the performance (Lankard, 1996). We should try to keep performing to reach our goal and until we do not get positive result. There will be number of challenge but rather than stopping we should keep on moving ahead towards our goal with an additional motivation and courage that will make us to achieve our goal of life whether it is personal or professional.

Career development is mainly a way in which an individual chooses his or her career path as per the things which are favorable to that person (Anderson, 1995). An individual may opt to become a scientist or an engineer or a management graduate or a researcher just on the basis of what he or she likes doing.

As an individual, I mainly like to analyze more on the current international business trends and on the data about our country export and import statistics. I feel that I can be best with a team or a company which is mainly into the analysis of the data on exports and imports.

My domain is mainly into international business and thus my career path should mainly be specific to lines such as shipping, logistics, supply chain management, corporate communications, International Languages, Exports, imports, Foreign Exchange management and so on.

I am able to write about it because it is what my heart feels of doing rather than some bookish knowledge and that is what an individual should always keep in mind.

 They should always follow those things which they feel that they have interest upon rather than someone coming and forcing it on them. If that happens that that person would be mere like a Robot where he or she would just only listen to the needs and wants of those concerned persons.

All these strategies and areas of specialization relate to my career goal as their has been a lot of research work that has been going on these areas and their has been a lot of stress on these areas in the past so that I am able to achieve something in my life.

What is more important is the urgency of people in working towards these dreams and their career goals. I have taken a lot of strategies and implemented it so that it comes in some use or another (Anderson, 1995). If one strategy does not work then other strategies should be used and consequently used till the time one achieves his goals or objectives.

Life is all about trying on and implementation of strategies and if one strategy does not fit in place then other strategies should be used upon his is a real life example of how I was able to choose my career path and career goal. No one guides you or motivates you rather than you yourself.

Hence, one should constantly try and practice hard to motivate oneself to reach higher and higher destinations in life and his or her career path should be clearly defined to him or her. If it is not defined properly then he would always remain in confusion and thus would not be able to follow the right path. Hence, career path is very important for each and every individual and there should be clear planning on these areas of specialization.
