There was a great need for space and the houses that should be built to provide refuge to the forced migrants. As the course of the situation, the inner suburban houses were shifted to the outskirts of Melbourne and the inner areas of the city were dedicated to the poorer families and the needy. Thus, the established people spent more money on building more beautiful houses and spent more money, as a result of which they had to adapt a better lifestyle.
