FEEDBACK SYSTEM OVER ICT

Executive Summary

 

The Feedback Facebook page for My State University can be effectively designed using the best ICT system platform along with business systems for the project. The costing schedule also justifies that the project will be beneficial and profitable for the University in gaining popularity. What needs to be done is to promote the Facebook page amongst the student community very effectively using the Communication plan as mentioned in the project and great amount of students will get attracted to the Facebook page automatically through effectual advertising.

1.Introduction

 

In order to develop a unique platform to access the enquiries registered by prospective students and create an open and free environment for interaction between students and My State University we need to implement a schedule for developing a Facebook page for Feedback.

 

1.1 Implementation Planning Schedule

 

The Facebook page will be created by the name of My State University and will contain multiple threads which will guide students towards 4 major accounts of discussion listed below:

 

1)     Prospective Student

2)     Current Student

  1. Semester Course
    1. Current trend and Curriculum
    2. Suggestions and Assessments
    3. Teacher-Student feedbacks
    4. Markings and Scores

 

As per the course opted the student are filtered and will be guided to the right thread. Once the student is segregated the Facebook Feedback form along with the questions form of My State University will be implemented based upon the calendar schedule which has been already defined by the site manager and  academics administrator.

 

 

 

2. Information Communications Technology (ICT) Systems Needed to Implement the Plan

 

An ICT System is mainly a set-up which consists of hardware, data, software and people who use these things of software. It mainly consists of the communication technology for example Internet. The main benefit attached with ICT is it provides all the advantages attached with digital technology to help businesses, universities or individuals (ICT systems and their usage, 2012).

2.1 Digital Communication technologies

 

These are fast growing and the latest trend in the range of digital communication technologies and allow people and organisations to communicate and share all the information they want to digitally. The major ICT which will be of great help out here in implementation of the development of Facebook feedback page for My State University would be  Customer Relations Management (CRM) (introduction – what is ICT?, n.d.).

 

2.1.2 Customer Relations Management (CRM)

 

CRM is the highly advanced software ICT system which helps in understanding the viewpoint of the customers in better manner, by allowing the university to gather and analyse all the relevant data from the feedbacks like which course they want to enrol, fee structure etc. (introduction – what is ICT?, n.d.).

 

 

 

3. Business Systems Needed to Implement Plan

 

When we consider the static aspects of business processes which are dynamic and involve activities too then they is called Business Systems (Business Processes and Business Systems, n.d.). A methodical process or course of action which is used as a mechanism of delivering specific goods or services to  the customers of the business are known as Business Systems (business system, 2012).

Here in the case of developing a feedback Facebook page for My State University the course of action taken to develop and design a Facebook Page to collect the feedback of the students is called the Business System for the University. It also involves the organisational structure in which business processes are being carried out and involves several business objects as well as information objects too like depicted below in diagram:

Unified Modelling Language (UML) is used for modelling the business systems and business processes. UML is a unified modelling language which is visual by nature and helps in specifying, documenting and constructing various artefacts of business systems (UML Unified Modeling Language: Infrastructure, Version 2.0, 2003).

4. Costing Schedule

 

Cost estimation or Cost Scheduling begins immediately once the WBS for the Feedback Facebook page for My State University Project is prepared. 5.Plan to invite others to join the Facebook Page

 

The communication Plan for creating popularity for the Feedback Facebook page of My State University should include:

  • Adding a tab link to the main website of the My State University form where students can access the Facebook Page directly.
  • Many related scholarship websites or Facebook Pages should also carry links to this Facebook Page.
  • Keep regularly updating Informative and productive articles for students to create their interest.
  • Send Newsletters and emails regarding the launch of new Feedback Facebook Page to all the student database of the My State University and request them to join
  • Launch a contest for students which can be ranging from art and painting competition to essay writing or poem writing competition which can be accessed from the feedback Facebook page of My State University. This way more students will get attracted to the Facebook page.
  • Make a Forum for the students which are registered with the Facebook page to discuss recent topics and help regarding courses of various streams.
  • Extra –credit assignments can also be posted on the Facebook Page for feedback so that students become regular visitors to the Facebook page of My State University.

The Model can be verified by doing a test launch on the web server which has been bought by the university. However it is suggested that we should not use the Facebook Mark-up Language (FBML) to design the webpage. Another better way of verification is to submit the official email address which is associated with My State University, which is just like submitting a document on official letterhead of company in electronic form (Assar, n.d.)

 

 

7.Testing of the schedule

 

Facebook does not provide any place to test the programming codes for your Facebook page so for testing the schedule we need to use the Facebook JavaScript test Console. All we need to do is copy and paste the HTML of the page in the JavaScript test console and click on “run code”. If everything is according to your desire then you can publish your finished landing Facebook feedback page (Goldford, 2011)

 

 

 

 

8.Conclusion

 

Thus by using the most popular social media platform which is already the greatest buzz on internet with latest ICT system and business system a catchy Feedback Facebook Page with great popularity can be created to attract great amount of students and collect their feedback. This information can then be accessed by administration of It department and compiled and analysed for making the desired and feasible changes in the course or fess structure to increase the profits and popularity of the My State University.

 

 

9.Recommendation

 

  • Latest ICT System should be used.
  •  The costing estimation should not show much variance and eth project should be a profitable venture for My State University. SO before hiring the software developer a thorough analysis is necessary by project manager.
  • Best advertising which is effective and beneficial for the university and creates popularity to attract great amount of students is what will make the Facebook page for Feedback most sougyh6t after.
  •  The content of the Facebook page should be informative and creative to attract the students.
