Environment assignment on: Radiations risks on health
Assignment 1:Different kinds of radiations are emitted from the electronic devices. What are they, their risks on the Environment, and health? How can they be recycled to minimize their pollution? There are different types of radiation which are emitted from the electronic devices such as Microwaves, Mobile Phones, Baby Alarms, Laptops, Wireless Networks, etc. The different types of radiations are quite harmful as well as have an adverse effect over the atmosphere (Global Healing Centre, 2011).
The radiations form the list of electronic devices mentioned above are emitted in very minute quantities. Since, each & every individual is using the devices mentioned above; therefore the accumulated effect of the same could be adverse. Some of the dangers attached to the radiations would constipation, severe pain, skin diseases, high BP, fatigue, sleepless nights, etc (Global Healing Centre, 2011). The radiations form the electronic devices such as Microwaves, Mobile Phones, Baby Alarms; etc could be eliminated in the following manner. The global healing centre consists of various home products which would in order to measure the radiations emitted from the respective product as well as decrease its effects. The second measure which would help in order to decrease the levels of radiations would be to adjust the environment & help to reduce the level of radiation (Global Healing Centre, 2011).
Assignment 2What Are Greenhouse Gases? How greenhouse gases affect the Atmosphere and causes pollution?”
Greenhouse gases also known as GHG refers to the type of gas which affects the atmosphere in an adverse manner. It refers to a type of gas which would absorb the radiations from the infrared range. The main source of green house gases on this planet would ozone, methane, CO2, nitrous oxide, etc. In the entire solar system, various planets such as Titan, Venus, etc also consist of various gases which lead to adverse effect in the atmosphere (Andreson, 2010). Such type of gases would lead to a change in the temperature of the planet. The average temperature of the planet due to the greenhouse gases would be estimated to be 59 F.
In the initial stages of the Industrial revolution, when all the fuels used to get burnt it lead to an increase in the levels of CO2 into the atmosphere. It was estimated that, there was an approximate rise in the levels of CO2 from 280 – 390ppm (Andreson, 2010).With a rise in the overall levels of the green house gases from past many years would lead to an imbalance the Earth’s level. According to many climatic departments, there has been an increase in the levels of global temperatures. It has been estimated that, there would be an increase in the overall levels of greenhouse emissions in the years to come (Andreson, 2010).
Some of the adverse effects of global warming could be seen in the atmosphere & threaten the planet Earth. According to IPCC, the green house gases have been expected rise by 20% – 30% (Andreson, 2010) which might lead to an extinct of the animal as well as plant species. It has also been seen that, it would have an adverse effect on the billions of people with a rise in the overall levels of sea.
