Dear Daimyo,

Through this letter I would like to notify you of my desire to work under you as a Samurai. With much bereavement I should inform you about the sudden death of my previous Daimyo for no fault of mine. The great soul has succumbed to his illness that had been with him for quite long. I need also to mention that I had been a skilled and brave Samurai when I worked under my previous Daimyo. Under the circumstances, I have lost my source of earning. It is through one of my acquaintances that I came to know of the position vacant for a Samurai under you.As it is that I was born into a family that has a long Samurai tradition, the values of the Samurai class are ingrained in me. My education, compounded with my general knowledge and skill has helped me out in gaining proficiency in offering services as a Samurai. My weaponry skills have paid off well as I have been able to prove my worth as an able Samurai to my previous Daimyo. I have combined my weaponry skills with proper management of time so as to deliver the best services. I am an athletic person and my skills in gymnastics have showed itself as I fought for my previous Daimyo when he was attacked. As for my literacy, it has helped me out a great deal in planning strategies to overcome the enemies and win the duel. I wedded knowledge to my weaponry skills so as to come out winning the duel for my Daimyo. With the knowledge that was imparted to me in the monastery I can get an insight into the psyche of the adversary that in turn helps me out in planning strategies.

I would consider it a privilege to get the opportunity to serve your kind self. As it is that I have the values of the Samurai class intrinsic in me, I consider duty to be my first priority.
