In order to compare the research methodologies used within the two papers uploaded, advantages as well as disadvantages of the same has been discussed in this section of the report. The advantage & dis-advantage of questionnaire & correlation based research study has been highlighted as follows. Some of the advantages of the questionnaire based research have been discussed as follows. The greatest advantage of a questionnaire based research is its versatility. Therefore, less time would be wasted within a questionnaire based study. In most of the cases, this advantage of questionnaire based research study is overlooked. The questionnaire based research is held to be quite objective in nature which collects the data in a systematic manner (Newcombe, 2003). Apart from the advantages attached to it, there are various disadvantages attached to the questionnaire based research study. They are firstly, the unwillingness of the respondent to provide relevant information. In most of the cases, it has been noticed that whenever someone calls and greets the respondent to answer list of questions the interviewer is in little interest answer the same. In most of the cases, the respondents refuse to answer the questions. They refuse to answer dome of the specific questions such as income, age, occupation, etc. On an average, the number of refusals exceeds to more than 50 percent of the attempted calls. Whereas, on the other hand if questionnaire is sent via mail the number of refusals exceed up to 90 percent as people tend to overlook such type of mails (Yang et al, 2010). The questionnaire based research refers to an evaluation method which occurs after a particular event. Therefore, the participants involved in gathering information tend to forget certain issues which are relevant to the problems faced. The open ended questions within the questionnaire might take long time to analyze & interpret. The open ended question leads to high levels of misinterpretation or miscommunication in the mind of the respondents. The most common mistake of adding more questions in the questionnaire shall be avoided. More number of questions within the questionnaire consumes longer time to complete the same. The correlation based research refers to a research wherein, two factors are correlated with one another & the impact of one factor over other can be seen. One of the major disadvantages attached along this method is that, correlation does not attempt to measure the cause. Therefore, this method does not come to any conclusion regarding the cause & effect relationship between the various factors involved (Friedman & Miles, 2002).
