ELA Unit Plan – 1363932

Part 2: Reflection

The current unit plan of English language arts helps students to develop their cognitive as well as critical thinking skills that is required to remain in practice from the very young age. The unit plan helps students successfully apply their developing skills to different situations, materials, and ideas.

Through the strategic steps structured in the unit plan, the students will be able to open up or express their thought, opinions and feelings based on the lesson activities (Fareed, Ashraf & Bilal, 2016). In addition, the unit plan helps to structure their thoughts in sequentially so that they can develop their statements and the matter of the context precisely and specifically provided with the fact that they learn how to draw towards their topic and the associated purposes through the skills of persuading and reflective, conversational approach in their writing (Sarıca & Usluel, 2016). In case of report writing followed by the research study, the students learn to identify factual and necessary points to be addressed (Fareed, Ashraf & Bilal, 2016).

It is to mention that the challenges that I faced while meeting the developmental needs of all students are basically when I had to understand the psychological and behavioral pattern of second grade students and then set the unit plan accordingly along with a fair distribution of the classroom objectives (Fareed, Ashraf & Bilal, 2016).

Family and community play an important role in providing support to the instruction and selected instructional strategies. Families always cooperates in following the ways that are suggested for the development of the kid (Fareed, Ashraf & Bilal, 2016). They follow up the teaching strategies in order to keep their children in practice of writing, reading and speaking (Sarıca & Usluel, 2016). They encourage these ways through the communication session with closed ones or with the people in the community and also they make their children follow the speaking strategies through certain television shows that they can grip the gestures while speaking and follow the right pronunciation of the wards as well as the right way of addressing thoughts (Fareed, Ashraf & Bilal, 2016).
