Mini Case 1
Death and Life both can belied on a symmetrical design and by mixing both in an artistic manner the new design can be formed that may be of unique design and may come up with some new and creative essence of life and death (Stecker,1984). If I talk about my personal opinion on this artistic work of author, then according to me it is done in such a creative manner that makes us bound to take a glimpse of the art and make us bound to think about the kind of symmetry and asymmetry the life and death have between each other.
Both are a part of life and living being has to go through both the parts in life. Nobody can hide this truth and it is a common perception that everybody wants to hide himself/herself from death but they also know that it is the universal truth that one who has born has to die one day.
If I talk about the symmetry of life and death in the art, then again both are life different part of the single coin. Both goes hand on hand, as soon as we born, it is pre-decided that we have to die one day. On the other hand, in terms of asymmetry, the design may vary as per the work we do in our livelihood but the end result will be judged one day based on those works and role which we have played in our whole life (Buonarroti & Michelangelo, 2005). So it is a kind of combination of good and bad which we all have done or practiced in our day to day life, whether knowingly or unknowingly, whether willingly or unwillingly. But the things which we have done is being monitored by someone we may call that power as supreme power or God. And no one can deny this truth and that is what can be extracted from the art.
Mini Case 2
Religion and beliefs are two great role players in any art. These two parts can make a great combination of art and can push a lifeline in an art. But the one thing which is mostly required is the kind of combination of both religion and belief while designing the art (Buonarroti & Michelangelo, 2005). The expression of religious belief gives a direction to the artist and gives a creativity to move ahead with a new dimension of art and new combination of colours of art that can be reflected via their art to the outer world.
Barnett Newman’s stations of cross is better art and series of artistic representation and implication that makes the stations of cross better in terms of art and scenario of representation and explaining the terminologies and expression of life and gives a better idea and understanding about the things which were happening with Jesus at his later age. Whereas, the 14 painted panels by Notre- Damdes- Champs-Avranches is giving the expression about the joy and colours of life which is only explaining the joy and colour of life rather than explaining and putting light to the most important part of life that is sorrow and pain of life. So it is more important for us to understand the meaning of life which not always lies in joy and colour of life but we get lots of learning from our pains and sorrow, it make us more powerful and strengthen us to fight with the external problems and issue which always comes in our life while moving forward to achieve our goal and vision.
So according to me, if I compare both of these arts then the one which is more effective and enlightens the expression of life is the stations of cross and gives a better understanding and meaning of an art and its importance in life.
Mini Case 3
Art is a creative thing which cannot be achieved by just reading the books or learning theories, it is a kind of inner strength that leads to the creativity with self and enlightens the creativity that evolves as an art.
Art means to create something which is out of the world and which is just in our imagination and which is yet in dreams of people. To make the virtual things, picture or imagination a reality is the art in actual sense (Stecker, 1984).
I would like to say that the art is an ongoing process and that requires the deep thinking and out of the box thinking for the artist to complete an art. Until and unless the art is different at each time, we cannot say the artist has followed the process of art. To make something new at every time is the art in actual sense. To convert the imagination into reality is the art, to make the things live is the art, to express the meaning of life and death is the art, to make the people laugh and cry is the real art.
Artist need to work differently in each and every art, to make it more unique and give some newness in the art every time. This is not just a kind of job, it is a kind of entrepreneurship within self to create an art and to make it so live that the people can see the expression of life which is hidden in the art. It is not just a work that we plan something and move ahead to get desired result, it is a process that ends up with some different outcome and result every time.
So, in my point of view, art is an ongoing process that happens in a real world phenomenon and there is requirement of a huge patience and understanding of expression of life and death and the parts which comes in between both the things.
