Introduction:
Hajj is the famous place located in a Saudi Arabia. It is the great pilgrimage to Mecca and it is also serves as the one of the largest pilgrimage in the world. Hajj stands as the fifth pillar for the Islam religion. Hajj is the religious place where the Muslim people from all over the globe usually visit once in a year for peaceful life. And it is a submission of the work carried out in their life time to the Allah. The pilgrimage is cube shape building it acts as the direction of the prayer for the Muslim people. People will walk in counter clock wise direction around the place for seven times .they runs front and back between the hills to make the prayer very effective. People will travel to hajj in a group as an expression of unity. Transport to hajj will be done in two ways by ships and through airlines. But most of the people will prefer for the airlines because the mode of transport is very fast when compared to ships. Some airlines also offers special package for the people who travel to hajj. It is a perfect symbol of live of Ibrahim and his wife hajar of solidarity of worldwide Muslims.
Architecture and value of hajj:
As per Ostwald Hajj had a great bench mark that virtue is patience from the time you reaches the place till you move from the Saudi Arabia kingdom. Hajj terminal is one of the terminals used by the pilgrimage. The terminal consists of minimum five million square feet and this is considered as the world second largest terminal after the airport Hong Kong international. This terminal is constructed in the shape of tent roof. It does not actually looks like tent but it is fully covered by different types of fibre glass. Mosques are also in the terminal nearly eight thousand travellers can accommodate in a time. This structured building provides for the pilgrim to make rest sleep and food preparation. Food also provided by the pilgrim. Additional facilities like washing and toilet also were provided. Office is also there to for the travellers to support in banking, postal, airlines and for the other general information’s. And the most important thing about this terminal is it can accommodate fifty thousand pilgrims for one time for the time duration of eighteen hours and for the departure it can holds eighty thousands of pilgrims for the time duration for thirty six hours. Here the passport and luggage time is very consuming. According to Kevin Nearly one million pilgrims make their way to Mecca through the hajj terminal. The terminal provides a shop benches and toilet facility for the pilgrims. The terminal consists of ten big modules. Each module is made up of forty five square metres with twenty one units. Among the ten modules only two identical five modules are covered by the landscape mall. The tents are made up of steel rings with the high suspending cables from one module to other one. The amazing and innovative design of the roofing system met the expectation of challenging by covered the whole place with incomparable. This place will provide traveller’s good trades along with the pilgrimage route expect mementos of the Arabian experience. The infrastructure and design created highly sustainable project ahead of the green movement. This terminal explores sense of place with filled of economy of means and culture. The advanced technology of the roofing system provides the elegance and beauty for the travellers. The hajj terminal serves as the small city for the number of pilgrims stayed in Mecca to participate in the annual hajj. The hajj terminal provides a chimney effect which is more useful to arrest the desert the hot air by certain temperatures without any cost and make the surrounding cool.
Conclusion:
Hajj terminal act as the great way to Mecca for the pilgrims increasing to peak level and it can have huge capacity to accommodate the more number of people in a time. The terminal was built in a symbolic power for the people to reach hajj and sacred even in the Muslim life. This terminal is the historic site for the pilgrims before they visit to the pilgrimage. The hard work of each and every one becomes fruitful and came out with the different colds. Hajj is the largest place for gather of people on the earth for worship of god for Muslims. It is a holy place marked by absence of altercation among the pilgrims. People can find peace and serenity in the pilgrims. Ever year more number of people visiting the place for their self satisfaction in their life as well as the peace in their future life. It is chance for transforming spiritual experience. It provides strength of every human in mentally to step their foot front wards. The real value of human proves when visited to the holy place.
