Knowledge transfer
Ladd A,Ward Mark A 2002,, an Investigation of Environmental factors influencing KnowledgeTransfer,Journal of Knowledge Management Practice
The research tries to find the correlation between organizational culture and the organization’s ability to efficiently transfer knowledge. A survey was done in 23 organizations from US Air force where the organization culture and the factors to influence knowledge transfer efficacy was analyzed. Organizations with cultural traits exhibit openness to change and innovation and task center orientation was found to be good for knowledge transfer. It was found that organizations with cultural traits with a competitive orientation were not conducive for knowledge transfer.

Knowledge transfer – Process of moving useful information from one individual to another person (Ladd2002)
Knowledge transfer -The practical problem of getting knowledge from one part of the origination to another.(Odigie, n.d)

Here both definitions deal with the movement of knowledge from one part to another.
Ladd2002 consider knowledge transfer as a process where as Odigie defines Knowledge transfer as a problem of getting knowledge. Ladd2002 considers knowledge transfer as movement form one individual to another where as Odigie considers it to move from one part of organization to another.

Knowledge Resources – Knowledge and skills that organizational members bring to bear on their work whether acquired outside the organization as a part of their previous education and training or inside during previous job experience(Ravn2004)
Knowledge Resources – information resources, contracts, manuals, databases, licenses, or embedded in products or people(Parise and Henderson, 2001)
Similarities and Differences
Here both definitions are related to resources in the organist ion. The Ravn2004 definition relates to only people in the organization where as the PArise and Henderson definition deals with all kinds of knowledge related resources in the organization.

The importance of knowledge for competiveness in organizations and economies has been widely accepted. It can be considered as the part of corporate culture that supports the active exchange of information, knowledge and experience s between the employees and the departments (Kai Mertins P. H., 2003).
