For that I would encourage them to draw elated object on a paper sheet. Thus they will have a higher degree of confidence before they jump on to the next step. After the children are through with the design on the paper they will have to go sculpting now. At this stage the use of fingers, hands and the introduction to the important tools shall be given to the children. The small tools like plastic knives, forks and spoons shall be provided to them, so that they understand that how even the small improvisations matter in the design, like the making of the eyes and ears of the animals. While sculpting it would be interesting for the students to show them the small samples of the sculptures by which they can get inspired.

Shaping

Shaping would be an important stage in sculpting, which finalizes the piece of art which is to be brought out. I will assist children in shaping the dough to bring their concepts to life. The same can be done by refining the objects in the right order and by giving the same a natural touch. At this stage it is important to make the children see the original shape of the object that they are trying to represent through the piece of art they are making. Thus making them aligned with the originality is important so that they start aiming to polish the things they are doing and thus move towards perfection. At this stage it would be a significant step to encourage the children to value what they are making because sculpting has a very personal touch as the object is put to life once it is appreciated, it is just like life that god puts in a non-living object.
