Introduction

This paper consists and provides descriptive information about the solar energy, wind power and renewable energy. The paper presents in depth information on sources, uses and forms of renewable energies, wind power and solar energy in the below in the following sections. This section provides introduction about the topics that needs to discuss in this paper. Renewal energy is the sources of energy that helps to complete our day to day activities in effective and efficient manner. Renewal energy is the natural energy that have unlimited sources in the earth and the resources can be use again and again and will never finish that indicate that the resources does not have limited supply. These characteristics create difference between renewable energy and Non renewal energy. In conclude the above characteristics and definition describe about the infinite sources of renewable energy. In conclude the renewal energy resources is one kind of natural energy resources that replaced rapidly by natural process. (Cleanenergyideas.com, 2012)

Solar energy is also one kind of renewable energy that generates and come from the sun. The energy received in the form of solar radiation that helps to produce the solar electricity for use to complete the activities. Solar energy is very popular renewable energy source due to its availability in abundant quantity and cost effectiveness.

Wind energy also form or resource of renewable energy that received from the movement of the wind on the earth. Numerous unbalancing, balancing and activities of sun in terms of heating, ocean and earth affect the wind that helps to generate the energy. Wind energy is the cleanest source of energy that is also available in abundant quantity on the earth or planet.

All the above discussion provides the short introduction about the topics that highlight the effectiveness and availability in the earth and their cost effectiveness.

Discussion

Most developing countries have renewable sources of energy and it contains solar energy and geothermal energy. By these energy sources, developing countries can decrease their dependence on oil and natural gas to the increase of price rates.

Kenya is the world’s largest leader in solar power systems and technological advances also developed the huge market for solar power. It also involved in providing education and also for the decrease of time that people spend out in fuel collection. It requires proper resources into the new sector to decrease the emission and also to make it affordable to the major part of population. Philippines is considered as world leader in renewable energy.

  • Advantages of renewable energy

The major advantage associated with the renewable energy is known as the energy is renewable and it is sustainable in terms of the energy. This facilitates with less maintenance and also deals with better sources of operation. Renewable energy produces little or no effect in terms of regional benefits but it has huge benefits in the economy.

The wind power has been the fastest growing source of new electric generator power and this brings about total share of 2.3 %. This also helps in better capacity generation. Thus it is created by the uneven heating with respect to the atmosphere by the sun, other Earth’s surfaces and the rotation in the Earth. Winds strongly are influenced with certain important factors like weather patterns, water bodies and other factors to generate high electricity. (Eia.gov, 2011)

Renewable energy helps in the energy that is produced to develop the huge demands of electricity. It reduces the fossils and other consumptions of fossil fuels. This depends highly on increase in the demand of petroleum and other gas products. This also helps in terms of emissions of harmful gases and also with the major sources of global warming. Wind energy has one more advantage that it does not create pollution in the society and in the Earth. It has less amount of air and it carries no pollution in terms of water. This also helps to save the environment for long term and to make it sustainable. This does not destroy the environment as well as the toxic gases released due to this strategy and energy. Wind turbines also help in the coastal areas and it offers wide range of opportunities to the people near the surroundings.

Despite the advantages of the renewable sources such as wind energy, solar energy and other important sources, there are few disadvantages also associated with the same that are as discussed below:-

  • Disadvantages of renewable energy

The wind turbines provide clean and the effective ways for generating power in the home, thus it highly impacts the environment and the surroundings that initiate huge disadvantages for the wind turbines. There are major disadvantages associated with this energy such as:-

There are noise disturbances, the turbines produces lot of noise and this is the major threat to the wildlife because this determines the negative impacts on birds, animals, and other lives. The major disadvantage is that it can never be predicted and it is only best suited for particular regions and in particular areas. (Conserveenergyfuture.com, 2012)

Therefore it is difficult to generate the high quantity of electricity in terms of traditional and fossil fuels generators. This is also not reliable and it is not available for high capabilities. (Solarschool.net, 2012)

  • Uses and benefits of renewable energy systems

There are different applications associated with the wind energy and both wind and solar energy is connected to generate high power of electricity with the help of power grids. It can also be used effectively in the system of agriculture and the power irrigation systems for mills and grains. This is effective and beneficial in clean burning, they produces no emissions in greenhouse gases. This also reduces the costs of energy and helps to decrease the amount of utility bills. Thus the renewable energy sources are the most powerful and the sustainable energy.

  • Different types of renewable energy sources
S.no. Types of energy Generated from Advantages Disadvantages
1 Solar energy Generated from sunlight and converted into electricity Infinite energy supplies Implementation is very expensive and costly
2 Wind energy Generated from wind turbines and converted into electricity Agriculture, farms, other supplies of energy Manufacturing and implementation is very costly.
3 Geothermal energy Generated from volcanic regions and natural heat in the earth.

Uses of steam to produce electricity

High supplies of energy.

Expensive

Dangerous

4 Hydrological energy Generated from water and rivers, lakes and dams. Water reserves and supplies energy Costly to build

Ecological impacts in hydrology.

5 Wood Generated from falling of trees Cheap and readily available Produces high pollution and creates atmospheric gases.

Thus renewable energy sources in many developed nations have focused that renewable energy can directly contribute to develop the business as well as employment. It also strongly contributes to education and improves the situation irrespective of pollutants. This also helps to decrease the infectious and harmful diseases. Renewable energy also helps with medical equipments and tools in rural areas where there are challenges to electricity. This way, it aims and supports to remain the first carbon neutral economy. The investments are also less expensive when compared to fossil fuels and other energy system. Thus there are concerns with global warming and pollution.

Conclusion

In conclude, the above discussion that covers in different sections provides complete required information that define the renewable energy means unlimited resources or replaced rapidly by the natural process or kind of natural resources that never end and use again and again, solar energy is a kind of renewable energy that come from the sun in the form solar radiations and wind energy is also one kind of renewable energy that generate from the movement of wind across the earth. In the above section also provides information that provides the clear visibility about the uses of the renewable energy and various form of renewable energy apart from solar and wind that discussed in the above section also described the numerous uses of the other form of renewable energy, solar and wind energy. Apart of all the key discussion the paper also provides important information about the process, advantage and disadvantage of the renewable energy.
